This place is beautiful and welcoming, with very friendly and patient service staff. Unfortunately the food was disappointing, especially for the price. Our party of three complained about each of our roast meals, which included vegetables that were barely lukewarm and pork belly which, although naturally fatty, comprised a plate of lots of fat and almost no meat. The staff were responsive and quick to return with improvements. Perhaps the kitchen is a little understaffed or it was just an off day. But I won't be returning for dinner. A shame as it was my birthday.

Both the pub and the restaurant are very nicely decorated since refurb but that's pretty much the only positive highlight of our last visit. The food was bland & overpriced in my opinion. We ordered some medium rare beefs and all were on the medium well side tbh. The vegetarian roast was cold. The dessert (sticky toffee) was unbelievably dry, but the crumble was really good. The whole experience was a disappointment this time. :/The waiters/waitresses were kind, the service was smooth, but the manager/supervisor (?) was a bit arrogant at the end (sorry to say this but his attitude was quite unprofessional).Atmosphere ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Interior ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Roasts ⭐️⭐️⭐️Dessert ⭐️⭐️Service ⭐️⭐️⭐️The PUB has a really good atmosphere though. It is definitely worth to visit for some DRINKS.

A wonderful Pub /restaurant it is really beautiful inside. Very good service and very dog friendly. The food was very good and very well presented. On the expensive side but you get what you pay for. We will definitely be going back

Top roast dinner in a beautifully decorated space. Everything about the interior is pleasing to the eye, including the food. Highly recommend, although pricey.

A very cozy, warm pub in south London. Friendly staff, good beer, and if you're lucky you will be greeted by Max, the pub's resident Bernese

The Windmill is a very nice hotel in a location I did not expect to be so quiet. It was nice to have on site secure parking. Reception was polite & helpful, the twin room wasn't large, but adequate. However the twin beds were pushed close together so found I had to move them apart myself. In so doing I found the carpet between the beds was stained & in need of a good clean. The carpet was ill fitting with lumpy parts which could be a trip hazard. The lighting in both the room & bathroom could be improved & if an additional mirror was added in the main room underneath the very bright LED near the door it would be ideal.Room temperature was good, water temperature & shower pressure were also very good. Decided against breakfast as the price was excessive & there were other paces to eat within a short walk across the common.Disappointed that there was no complimentary water in the room & when reception apologised & told me there should have been, I was still charged for the small bottle of mineral water I had to drink.Overall the room was nice, the staff were polite in the hotel & restaurant, the car parking is useful & the bed was very comfortable, but only 4 stars due to the small things that need a little more attention.

Very nice Sunday roast. We got the ginger pig sharing roast, which the waitress told us was for about 3 people, so we also got the roast chicken to share everything between 4 people. We also got some croquettes to share. We assumed the croquettes will come as a starter but all the food came at the same time. The meat was really excellent but quite fatty and there was quite a lot of cartilage or whatever but white tough bits you can’t eat so it was a bit annoying to try and take those bits off. But other people got better slices it seems and didn’t have this problem. The sides were really yummy too, the potatoes were very good and I especially liked the creamed peas and leek.FYI, The outdoor seating doesn’t have table service so you have to use the young pub app, which didn’t have the Sunday roast menu so we had to order at the bar.

Came here August bank holiday Monday for food. I feel the need to say that ever since moving to London, this has been one of those places I've often walked past and thought to myself "I'd like to go there for food soon". After eventually getting the opportunity, I can't help but feel bitterly disappointed. The decor is very nicely decorated but that's pretty much the only positive highlight of my visit. The food was bland & overpriced in my opinion. Considering the size of the plate, I did wonder if it was a child's portion when it was eventually brought. For £17. I honestly feel I would have been better off ordering a McDonald's burger in terms of proportional quality. Mindful it was bank holiday weekend, we also waited over 30 minutes for the food to be brought and whilst pleasant enough, not one member of staff asked us how the meal was.Would probably give this place another chance for drinks, but wouldn't give a second chance for food. Disappointing.

This large pub looks great, the decor and layout are really nice. We went for Sunday lunch and had the roasts. The portions were large but the dishes were quite plain. We ordered the tomahawk steak to share between two which was £70. It was large but undercooked; we requested medium-rare but it was served very rare. The food took over an hour to arrive and hence we were told we didn't have time for a dessert because the table was needed back. We complained and were given an extra half hour but it felt like we were expected to be grateful for that. The prices are moderate, too high I think for regular Sunday roast.
