AVOID.I called the restaurant after I'd made an order on Just-Eat as I wanted to make them aware that my friend had a deadly nut allergy. You know, just to be 100% sure. The man on the phone, I assume the manager as I was placed on hold, and another man had picked up, was as rude and short with me as one can be. 'What do you want to know' he said rudely, after I had just told him that it was just an FYO call. In an aggressive tone, his reply was 'we don't sell peanuts here', followed by some mumbling hung up on me. HUNG UP on me. This is the first and the last time I will be ordering from here. Please don't give these people any business, and as you can see, there are plenty of other people on the reviews who also had extremely rude encounters.Food arrived, and had 2 items missing and 1 x rice had clumpy burnt bits in it. Driver was also rude. As expected.

Amazing service and lovely food- ordered various dishes for a family gathering and our guests including ourselves found the food to be really fresh and delicious. I have been ordering with Barakah over the years and the quality of their food is consistent. I would recommend to anyone who has family gatherings or events.

Such a rubbish restaurant I have ever seen. I ordered Hydrabadi Biryani they gave Tikka Biryani. I ordered Kidz meal they did not even give it. Thei food quality was soo bad too.

For my money the best curry in London. Excellent quality of ingredients and a top notch chef. There’s a really wide range of menu options here, and over the course of five years or so I’ve only ever had superb food from Barakah. It’s much better value than many other similar options and the staff are always very efficient and polite.A fantastic takeaway option for the Sydenham area and beyond.

Delicious take away from Barakah. We had vegetable biriyani, an aubergine dish which was superb and a pumpkin curry. We did also order paneer but it was a little too sweet for out liking (that was the style of the dish more than anything else those) Everything tasted authentic and fresh. Really impressed - will be ordering from here again.

The Food Arrived Super Quickly! When it arrived it came boiling hot the delivery driver was incredibly polite polite and the food was just phenomenal definitely going to be coming back again and anyone debating whether to get the takeaway definitely do it it’s the best takeaway in the south-east my grandmother never eats that much food as she is not into much variety of food but on this occasion she thoroughly enjoyed it and would go back anytime.

First time ordering here our food was tasteless (literally as flavoursome as Indian ready meal) hours after eating our food on Christmas Eve my partner and I both experienced painful stomach cramps and trouble digesting our food... I ate vegetarian dishes and he had lamb. We both believe it’s cross contamination, old food or poor quality. NOT a good way to start Christmas and would never order from this place again it is clearly this food that has caused stomach upset... don’t recommend unless you like feeling ill

Our favourite Indian takeaway. We have ordered lots of times and not once have we been disappointed. The food is delicious. I order online through their website which is very easy. The delivery arrives very fast and always within the allocated time. The drivers are always very friendly and polite. Love the added touch of the chocolates and napkins.
