Blackheath Fish Bar in Lewisham

Ordered fish and chips for myself and my daughter. Chips were stale and inedible. Fish was at least edible but still not food for the price I paid. Won't be going there again!

Pretty ok Fish and Chips from a very nice local. The chips were nice and crispy but the scampy was not crispy and underseasoned. It also came in a soggy box but all together an OK takeway

I was a bit worried after reading some of the older reviews. However, I was really impressed with my fish and chips. The cod was clearly very fresh and the batter light and not too oily. We ordered home delivery, and it was piping hot. Recommended1

Fish was awful. Had obviously been sat there for over a day and was not edible. Chips were the only saving grace. Extremely over priced and not recommended.

Awful fish and chips. Such a shame because it’s in a prime location, but the quality it terrible. This business could do so well if it was run by someone competent.

I bought £23 pounds worth of totally inedible food. My daughter chipped her tooth. The chips looked refried, the cod bites were like Sun Dried tomatoes, no moisture, the chicken was like eating sawdust coated chicken.

Went here again after it had recently been closed. Just to warn everyone... it's not improved. There main issue is the fish. I had cod which was very dry and did not have much taste. Also, it was lukewarm. You will get better fish and chips in any pub in the village. Wish I had not bothered giving them another chance... won't be back. Shame the only takeaway fish shop in the village is so poor.

I found this place by accident several months ago and enjoyed the fresh fish n chips so much that I now frequently drive the several miles detour just to grab a bite to eat here.....friendly staff, pleasant surroundings and the best fish n chips gets the thumbs up everytime!
