Bromley Hill Fish Bar in Lewisham

We have tried the food here twice within a month and both times have been not so great..The first time it was really busy so we gave it another go as wasn't fair judgement however its not as good as it used to be.We found the fish greasy, the chips were brown and the sausage was really hard and dried out.

Just got a large fish with large chips and the fish was absolutely disgusting the guy cooking added a small piece of fish on another piece of fish and when I got home the batter what managed to get in between the two pieces was raw and wet so when I called him back he couldn’t explain why it was raw like I was talking s@@t I can understand everybody cutting back but I think this is so disgusting to be serving food like this I should of been from the environment health!!!

Exceptionally really good fish, worth the wait.

I love their food. Friendly takeaway local chip shop. Queue down the road on a Friday night.

Delicious 😋 fish and chips,has to wait outside for 10minites for my fish and chips,but was worth waiting, never had such Delicious fish and chips anywhere else,but they even charge for the Box if you want to fish and chips in the Box ,which was bit mean

Good family shop. Nice fish only downside the pricing on the wall needs to match what the guys are charging as it wasn't accurate but really nice

On the few occasions I visit this place I've found the food to be of high standards. The staff are keen and helpful, polite and engaging.I would definitely use this place again.

Such a shame... Ordered on Uber eats and instructed no salt and vinegar on my chips... However, recieved salt and vinegar. The chips were so soggy.. there was not one crispy chip in there!! Was like eating mush.... I don't get all these amazing reviews when the food clearly doesn't live up to its standard... Curry sauce was so so so runny... Never seen anything like this before!

Great food but a bit disappointed in my last three orders. Ordered large cod and got small ones via Uber eats. Not great for £26. Normally get nice size ones when I go and pick it up myself

I have lived in Shortlands for over 10 years and love my Fish & Chips. I have tried many many Fish & Chips around my area and this establishment is the best by far! Once a month I enjoy a large Cod and chips and I am never disappointed. The queues can get quite long but this is not a problem as they are worth the wait and others also know it's the best around. If you have not yet tried you should and won't be disappointed.
