Cafe Oscars in Lewisham

Popped in for a takeaway coffee and cookie while exploring the Waterway path. Fantastic service, delicious cookie and superb coffee. We’ll be back for more!

So overpriced! This place used to be my favourite cafe in the area, but a tiny Cinnamon bun now is £4! A coffee is £3.20, and the cup size has shrunk! This is a size of a small flat white…What’s happening?…

Probably the best coffee in the area, but there’s no wifi?The place is nice especially the garden, and the staff is super friendly but please add a wifi. I’ve seen people including myself, doing online work and having to do a hotspot from my phone🤦‍♂️ it doesn’t seem to make sense for a place this big to not offer their customer a wifi connection

The coffee here is delicious and the staff are always friendly. Also the cakes and bread are delicious, highly recommend

Had been looking forward to visiting this place as the reviews looked good. But it was disappointing! Although the staff are friendly and the decor is nice, and it's clean, the place is small and the food menu is very expensive and very limited - snacks only, like croissants and sausage rolls, and no hot breakfasts like bacon sandwich or omelette. Even on a Saturday. I had an oat latte and it tasted good, but wasn't quite hot enough and I didn't like that they did the hipster thing of serving it in a glass with no handle. I ordered a cinnamon bun (a weekend special) and it was £4 and tiny - commercial sized, like a 4-pack you'd buy in Tesco, whereas I was expecting something proper bakery-sized. It just didn't quite hit the spot. The garden is pretty and that's where most seats are. There are 3 small tables inside and it could be nice place to work if you can get one of those tables. Although quite chilly! We spent £17 on two coffees, a croissant and a bun and it wasn't worth that price. Glad we tried it but Le Délice is still our favourite café in the area.

This is my absolute favourite cafe in London. The staff are all beyond lovely and the coffee is made to perfection and great quality. They have a lovely peaceful garden and offer a few rotating vegan lunch and cake options in the week.

Great coffee and small, quality menu with a cosy terrace. Can get busy on a weekend as expected, but the staff are always very accommodating and allowed me to charge my phone whilst I stayed.

The very best place in SE London for a coffee! We love the brilliant range of filters, as well as the delicious food. The staff are always bright and friendly, and focused on bring part of the local community. We recently held a book launch event at Oscar's and every single guest mentioned the tremendous canapés - all, happily, vegetarian - the amazing wine, and the courtyard garden which was a peaceful and beautiful to enjoy.Highly recommended!
