Chicken Cottage in Lewisham

VERY PLEASENTLY SURPRISED.I am not from the locality, and was passing by to pick some bits up. You could literally walk past this place, as the outside sign may look slightly dated. One look through the shop doors, and I was swayed in by its CLEAN, BRIGHT and LARGE appearance.I merely tried this place for the sake of gluttony, and ordered some wings and chips. Both were really good. The chicken batter is CRISPY, NOT OILY AND SPICED PERFECTLY without being too spicy.Granted, I have not tried anything else on the menu, BUT WHAT A MENU! The menu has SO MANY variations of burgers, wraps (chicken and lamb/beef maybe even?), DISPLAYED BEAUTIFULLY on a back-lit menu where you can ACTUALLY SEE EXAMPLES OF THE FOOD!I spoke to either the manager/owner, who seemed to really take pride in this clean and well-presented establishment. He was a friendly chap and one of the reasons ill be coming back! (Sorry Assad, your fried goods are the primary reason).All-in-all, this should have been a run-of-the-mill chicken shop with standard food, but the reality is, it seems to be WAY more than that. I am coming back to try a number of items this week, and hope it equally be as good as the first experience!I RECOMMEND THIS!!

We have come here since it opened. Bummer they no longer sell their bbq ribs (WHICH WERE TO DIE FOR) but since they opened 4/5 years ago, their quality has never dropped. High quality Grilled food, fresh for a fast food eatery. Well worth your money! And the owner is such a kind man!

Always busy no wonder the best fried chicken place around avoid the others this is soooo much better. They know what customers want there portions are great and quality excellent. U can taste the juicy chicken and tell it's fresh.

Food was great and service was quick, the guy serving was friendly and knew about he's chicken as asked very interesting questions and offered insight into how they get the chicken so juicy. Food was delicious. Will be visiting again very soon.

The wings are sublime and food in general is excellent. For once I can say you get more for your money than most other fast food outlets of this nature. Highly recommend

I would give this shop no stars if I could, I came here on my very limited lunch break only to be served a cold burger which I politely told the gentleman serving me, however he insisted that it was because I had drank Pepsi beforehand, after they had replaced my burger I saw to my absolute delight that it was burnt. I left in frustration and won't return

Great variety of tasty food. Perfect for any day and great customer service. For how fast you can order and receive it, it’s amazing.

I’ve ordered two pieces of fried chicken with fries and drink. They brought me cold ones. Even if I complained about it they kept saying that it’s fresh . Definitely it wasn’t fresh and even it wasn’t cooked properly as there was blood inside. Will never go bk there

Last 2 take away orders were bad for me. First time I ordered 3pcs meal but received 3 little wings instead of big pieces of chicken, second time I found only 2 pcs instead of 3. And since I open my meal only when I get to my office I don't want to go back and argue.

Fantastic place to eat. The wings here are amazing. And definitely would recommend the grilled chicken burger. The pizza also taste very nice. Freshly made. Definitely recommended. Satisfied customer
