Everest Curry King in Lewisham

I've been stopping in here for about 15 years or more. Whenever I'm nearby.The mutton rolls are epic. If eating in, the portions are great. Most curries pack a decent spice kick, in true Sri Lankan style. Not for the generic palate. The aubergine veg curry is to die for. Excellent vego options as well as plenty for Flexi and Omnis. The Kottu is fiery and delicious if you can handle it.It's jazzed up over the years, but the food is still good value. And the family who run the place are very pleasant folks.Not fancy... Just bloody tasty.

Delicious curries great selection generous portions. Friendly service and reasonable prices. Three different curries with meat or four vegetarian with a standard portion. Would recommend the aubergine one in particular!

Found steel wool in the potatoes of my masala dosa, ordered on UberEats, which I nearly swallowed. Had ordered here numerous times before, but for my health and safety will be avoiding indefinitely.

Authentic home cooked SL food for a reasonable price! Food wasn't cooked fresh and was microwaved, but they don't pretend that it's any different. Had a Vadai too which was microwaved but was a bit damp. Wish they had more fresh cooked food.

Shri laxman cafe restaurant. Limited seating, mainly very good quality food to take away. They also cater for weddings and large family gatherings. Always a queue to be served but well worth waiting. Not expensive for the quality food.

This unassuming little curry place is incredible. The veggie currys are a revelation even for a meat-lover - spinach curry, beetroot curry, aubergine curry, all delicious. The onion bhajis are great too, perfect balance of crispy and juicy. Finally, good value and good portion sizes. Highly recommended Evarest Curry King.

Very nice people! The food was also delicious though had too much oil. Great variety of dishes and it seemed all fresh even if it is reheated at the time of order. Restaurant is very cold inside which is a minus of course.In general, very pleasant experience!

Great food!I decided to go for the mix vegatable set meal (opting for Aubergine, Pumpkin, Paneer and Carrot) which were all delicious - I will definitely get the Aubergine itself next time as it was the standout. The onion bhaji, mutton roti and vaipan were all great!I completely agree with the portion comments - they are massive (as you can see in my photo, this is only half of my order) and this is matched with the quality of the food.Simply amazing, I will be ordering again!

Excellent authentic South Asian food. Come here for delicious curries and biryani. However, if you are not after a meal if recommend a mutton roll as a snack. The concept with the microwaves may be unfamiliar but your taste buds will be rewarded.
