Fishy Business in Lewisham

Proper chippy. Reminds me of establishments found in the regional market towns of England. Good honest food at reasonable prices. Crispness of batter was memorable.

I try not to eat fish and chips often, however when I do, it as to be from here!!! They never disappoint, the small chips are large, the large fish feeds 2 people, their chips are fresh and delicious and the fish is worth the wait and cooked well. You know they're good as they don't need to boast about it unlike their competitor's!

Cooked fresh and is the best fish and chips there is! My son lives in Singapore- when he comes over always Fishy Business the first evening

Straight from the ocean. More than generous portions. They can truly cook. Really lovely people too.

Very good food served in big portions (larger cod and chips comes in a carrier bag??!). There is a downside howerver, everything is cooked to order, so there's usually a wait of 5-10mins or so. The plus side being, it was cooked to order, and it's super fresh.

Best hidden Gem for fish & Chips in London, mega portions, fresh cut chips and great value. The food is Always cooked fresh with light batter that’s crisp, light and not greasy. It’s worth waiting for you will not be disappointed . I’ve been a customer here since she opened over 18yrs ago and not once has the food disappointed .. check out her curry sauce to . Yummy , but leave some for me

This is the best fish & chip shop around, I order from here anytime anyone visits me in London, its never disappointed me or my guests. Fishy Business is better than Brockleys Rock. The portions are amazing, the price is right. Order a head of time and go pick up if you dont like to wait and bring cash. I'm grabbing some for Lunch today in fact!

Great customer service and fish & chips always taste top notch. The portions are quite big, so I tend to get children's chips. Their opening times are a little strange, they are not always open, and have often forgotten this. As per their notice on the door, they'll be closing from 27th January until April 2019.

I bought a small portion of chips for £1.70 yesterday. That is a big portion. They were to my taste. The potatoes are fresh and cut in the shop they are not from frozen chips bags. I had to wait 5 minutes but I prefer that then having overcooked chips. You can see they are hard working people there. They were courteous in their own way to all customers and helpful when I was there. It was my first time going. I will go back. I also like the chips from King's Fish & Chips & Kebabs in Malpas Road and The Fish & Chip Shop in Turnham Rd.

As far as fish and chips go, they normally have to be pretty special, especially with all the competition of the other types of cuisine around. This place unfortunately is special in no way whatsoever, in fact it's the worst fish and chips shop I have been to. The service is extremely slow, they seem to make the fish to order, which means that it has no time to drain all that oil it is soaked in and the wait for your "fast" food is at least 10 minutes. The only thing going for this place is its enormous portions, I have never been able to finish a small portion of chips even when sharing it with someone else. Suffice to say this place isn't awful, it is just that I have been to many excellent fish and chip shops, and this place is not excellent.
