Sakura in Lewisham

Honestly the best Japanese restaurant ever!! I have tried many other Japanese restaurants and they never compare to here. The food is AMAZING and so is the customer service, I look forward to going into the shop so I can speak to the people working.

Been a returning customer for years and still can’t seem to get enough. The best quality food for great prices and the loveliest staff. I recommend Sakura to absolutely everyone and there isn’t a single place I enjoy eating at more than here (alongside their sushi restaurant - Ookii) 10/10

Amazing and fresh food, the chef is a Friendly man with a good heart, I can feel the Barakah in this business ☺️ truly delicious, I will show pictures of where to walk to the restaurant ! When you see this pan place, on the left of it you have to walk straight down the alley way type of road, and you’ll see it on the right

Amazing food. Free Miso soup when you are waiting which is so TASTY. I have to go back and have this delicious soup again. So addictive. Assorted Tempura is insane 🍤 The veggie one is the best thing I’ve eaten. Can’t say enough.

Amazing Japanese Dishes, so many choices for both veg and non veg. I've only had the veg dishes and I can say that each one was so tasty and would highly recommend their Bai buns, gayozas, sushi...list is endless. Definitely worth a try if you haven't and looking for quality food. You get free snacks while you wait for your collection. Great customer service...amazing chefs.

Best Sushi/Japanese in the area by a million miles and I've tried the main 3 on a number of occasions. This place tastes the best but is also somehow the cheapest. Go figure. On certain days you have to wait an hour to get your food, so I recommend ordering ahead of time on the phone or online. There are queues outside on busy days for a reason. Highly recommended.

Honestly our absolute favourite takeaway! It needs 10 stars. The Chicken Karrage buns are too good. The staff are so lovely and friendly. We are so sad to move away from the area for a while, and will definitely be stopping by whenever we pass south Woodford.Thanks for all the amazing food! James & Darcey

Best sushi and buns in London! Super authentic Japanese food, great price point and the quality is excellent every time (the Spicy Chicken Karaage buns are a must-have!). They also have great vegetarian options like the Veggie Katsu curry. The service is excellent and they are always very welcoming. They often will have the food ready ahead of the collection time on a week day and will call to let you know you can pick it up. On weekends it can sometimes get a little busy so there are longer waiting times, but it's always worth it! Would highly recommend if you are in the Essex area.

I had the best experience with Sakura they made my sushi fresh and they gave me some tasty miso soup while I was waiting. The sushi itself was amazing I was very pleased and will be sure to go back!!Update - I have returned to Sakura many times in the last year and they have still managed to provide me with such a high level of service! I absolutely loveee their sushi and recently ordered their vegan appetisers which were soooo YUM!I wish I could rate more than once because you guys deserve so many more 5* reviews! Keep up the amazing food!!

Amazing customer service, everyone is so lovely and accommodating and smiley - especially since we came in close to closing time! Lovely broad vegetarian/vegan options and very clean! The whole place looks modern - there’s a reason why this place is so busy! Can’t wait to come back!
