Tai Won Mein in Lewisham

Six small vegan spring rolls cost £5.50, which seemed very expensive. They made my son feel sick and he couldn't eat them. Maybe because they were very greasy and oily. Extremely low levels of customer service. Poor experience overall.

Generous serving sizes, quick and friendly service. Tasty and filling stuff. Drinks are pricey for what you get though. Still good overall.

Great, quick service and excellent food at reasonable prices for a dine in Chinese restaurant. The chicken and sweetcorn soup is amongst the best I've had in years. Roast duck with fried noodles was good too. Very casual, and usually can turn up and find a seat. Still as good as ever.

Lovely service, food was served quick big portions and staff were very welcoming and polite.

I always have mini spate ribs with black bean sauce fried noodles. Not on the menu but delicious. Big portion and a pot of tea for £8.50.

Just had the most disappointing meal of my life in Tai Won Mein Catford. The seafood noodle soup wouldn't have fed a four year old, and the "Hot and Sour" soup was essentially a gloopy bowl of sugar. I've been eating in there for more than thirty years and this is the first time I've left there hungry (and I weigh maybe 135 pounds wet). The tea was good, though. Do better, people.

My fave place to get Char Sui and rice. Portions are great!

Friendly staff in a decently designed Chinese restaurant. Prices are ok but the restaurant is let down by being cash only, having a tiny drinks menu and the food being quite bland for Asain food. Portion sizes are massive but fortunately takeaway is an option for a 50p charge.It is worth coming in groups or for a quick meal.

As a Chinese I highly recommend this place as it meets all my expectation with a reasonable charge. Roast Pork & Duck with fried rice is on my top list. Noodle soup is nice while beef could have tasted better. Definitely will come again if I stay in London for bit longer. What a pity!
