The Chinese Experience in Lewisham

Didn't receive the satay mixed veg ordered, sent generic stir fry veg in garlic and soy instead. Vegetarian pancake roll was £2.90 (same price at the meat version) for JUST beansprout filling. Food was bland and oily. Wouldn't repeat.

Good quality, and open excellent hours. On the pricier side but worth the extra.

Very tasty. Very quick. Rememberd I had the wrong order last week. Had free replacement this weekend. Highly recommended. They are my go to place to Chinese food from now on. Well done

First time of using The Chinese Experience and as takeaways go, I have to say that my special fried rice and salt and pepper squid was wonderful. Each dish was full of flavour and along with good sized portions. The food was fresh and quickly cooked, as I was on premises when I ordered. Overall good food and worthwhile ordering a takeaway from the Chinese Experience.

AVOID!!! We used to order from here quite regularly as the food is ok, quick and cheap. Never again!Recently I walked in and placed an order. The food arrived very quickly. The chicken was chewy and clearly undercooked. A few pieces were soft, like raw chicken and one large piece was still pink in the middle (see photos). We couldn't eat the food and it went in the bin. I rang to explain and politely request that the meal be replaced. The young man who answered the phone was helpful, apologised and said that meal would be replaced. He asked me to hold and then there was a heated conversation which went on for about 5 minutes. An older woman came on the phone and was extremely rude. Called me a liar, told me that the chicken couldn't be undercooked as it is pre-cooked (clearly not these pieces) and that I would have to take the chicken back to the shop. When I asked if we would have the meal replaced if we did that I was told no because it couldn't be undercooked. Feeling sick, lost our appetite and £20 out of pocket. This is no way to treat your "valued" customers. Never again!

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE. INCREDIBLY RUDE STAFF AND DISGUSTING ATTITUDE. I WAS CHARGED £12.85 AND RECEIVED NO FOOD.So on the 7th April 2021 I ordered a meal which totalled to £25.70. Upon ordering I wanted to ensure that my special fried rice was spicy so I called the restaurant 7 mins after ordering.The rude lady answered and stated that the “driver was already on the way” this was obviously a lie as there is no way you made 1x Special fried rice 1x Salt and pepper wings 1x Crispy chilli beef 1x Seaweed and 1 portion of spring rolls in the space of 7 mins.The lady said “you must apologise to the driver” as he has now had to turn back due to you not leaving a note. I told her I am happy to apologise and will leave a note next time.She proceeded to state that “I don’t sound sorry” then hung up and practically threatened me to cancel my order. I told her I wanted the food but her attitude was outrageous. She then hung up.I called back and said I will be cancelling the order (which was places through Just eat). I cancelled the order and was charged 50% of my order amount (£12.85) in total. This is being disputed with my bank as the lady at This restaurant was unbothered by her actions.I am appalled by my experience and quite traumatised. I will never ever ever ever order from this place again and if you know what is good for you, you won’t either.I am now left HUNGRY and OUT OF POCKET. With nothing to show for it. A disgusting and horrible experience.

The grimmest chinese I have ever ordered. Arrived and now my entire lounge smells like fart. The chicken has a weird stringy and off texture. Can't put my finger on it but it's inedible. Tried to ring to see if the restaurant can put it right but the woman told me I was wrong, was suspiciously insistent that it was real chicken and hung up the phone. £15 down the drain and if I get D&V I will be calling environmental health.

Worst Chinese special fried rice I have had. The food was too oily, the shrimp chicken & pork were undercooked🤮🤮🤮. I had to throw away 2 plates of the order. Wouldn't recommend

Ordered food from them twice now via Just Eat and I think they'll be our new regular Chinese. Second time we got our order delivered within 16 minutes!!! I kid you not: order confirmed at 17:58, food on our table at 18:14! No idea how they did that! Apart from that incredibly super fast delivery the food was very delicious. Veggies were fresh and every dish tasted really good. Really appreciate how their hongkong sweet and sour isn't only just sweet but equally sour. Their prawn crackers are very tasty too. From the experiences we made I can definitely recommend them.

I had ordered from here on friday with a few of my friends. I must admit it was a mission to be able to give my order and the food did take a while to come. he customer service over the phone is not the best I have and that can be off putting to some people. Wen the food did eventually come it was a little cold. In all honesty, the quality of food feels like it has declined slightly but is better than some other places I have been to. Their combination container subvert from the normal rectangle shape which does make it unique and they are of good quality. I would order from here again just to confirm how I feel about their service in terms of ordering and quality of food. This would be ideal for Chinese lovers who would love to broaden their pallet and critique different places. This would be a good thing to do with a group of friends for a new type of experience
