The New Cross House in Lewisham

If you're passing through SE London and want a drink or a bite then defo drop by here. Second visit in the past couple of months. Great staff and grab a booth if you can. If you can't don't worry. We shared the camembert with garlic sharing starter which was great. The veggie burger was good and the desserts (sticky toffee and a warm chocolate brownie) were solid. By solid I mean the in a good strong way and not consistency! Loved it.

Being one of our local pubs we thought to give it a go. Lovely interiors, open and bright vibe. The food was good no fuss and what you would expect from your local pub.Revisted for Sunday lunch, same sort of food quality and great vibe. Very interesting and quirky interiors with something in for everyone. One of the great things is that the pub is dog friendly and has loads of activities going on throughout the week accompanied with special menu items. Definitely worth a visit if In the area.

Lovely atmosphere and drinks were good, however the food here is abysmal and overpriced. I paid £15 for the saddest looking burger ever. The Kitchen definitely needs to get its act together

Lovely cosy pub with a nice atmosphere. Sadly, the food was a massive let down - £14+ for burgers, which included an overcooked patty and the same kind of chips you get from a chicken shop (definitely not skin on fries like it said on the menu).The pizzas looked great though, really regret not ordering those instead...

It's a beautiful pub with really friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere. Recommend for drinks and it's a lovely place to relax with a well stocked bar , with lots of choices. Sadly do not recommend for Sunday roasts, our food was cold and came at very different times, and it wasnt busy when we were there. My friend ordered the sweet potato curry and the portion was really small for £14, it was also cold when it reached us.The pub have a proper stone pizza oven and the pizza did look (and smelled) delicious. We did have a good time though and will be back for sure.

Friendly staff, decent pub food menu. Really interesting artsy and retro decor inside. Great beer garden outside, and a some good spaces for hosting groups inside, particularly by the front entrance.

Finally made it down to the now infamous drag night at the NXH!! Had a truly amazing evening! We arrived early for some pre show cocktails and pizza, both were fantastic (and crazy value for money). When the show was about to start we headed upstairs to their gallery/performance space for many more cocktails and an amazing evening of singing and dancing - such a great atmoshpere everyone (including the staff) were having the time of their lives!!!

Absolutely Fantastic Pub. Super indoor/outdoor Ambience, friendly staff and delicious Food. The Pizzas are a speciality and the Music is better than the clubs. Very safe hangout with tight security.(10% discount for students on Saturdays).Recommended for Young and Old.Loved every bit of it :)

New Cross House is a pub and restaurant on New Cross, right next to Goldsmiths College, University of London. The place is usually packed with Goldsmiths students but also with people working and living in the area. The pizzas are excellent - especially the margarita and basil pizza - and there is a wide selection of burgers, rice dishes, bangers and mash, and assorted meals. The service is fantastic and there is always seating, even during hr busy evening periods, owing to the high turnover of diners. Great place to make great memories, especially if you’ve spent many evenings with classmates.

The New cross house is incredibly pretty pub with excellent cuisine and incredibly affordable for students providing lunch time.the interior is incredibly trendy and aesthetically pleasing with a trendy yet modern vibe .Also having extra activities that take place within the pub such as a film night.Personally very impressed with the atmosphere the staff were friendly and kind.There is also a selection of plugs and USB sockets at some of the tables allowing for work to be done and phones to be charged
