The Talbot is my go to local pub. The owners and staff are super friendly and always diligent and helpful. The food is very nice. They do great pizzas and the Sunday Roast is always reliably good.The only criticism is the limited selection of beers recently. Hopefully this is linked to lockdown and will be sorted ASAP.It has a lovely, warm, cosy atmosphere in the colder months and fantastic outside space in summer. It is *very popular on weekends FYI. One of better pubs in the area.

Lovely pub, best in the area by far. Always friendly staff and adorable landlady. Excellent pizzas and roast dinners. Good size gardens and while covid rules lasted, it was one of the most covid-safe pubs we visited. Hence we keep returning. 💙

Managed to squeeze us in without booking, found a spot for us and all the staff were very welcoming and friendly - The food was delicious, Pizza selection was limited but some great flavours and toppings, Reliable Top Local Pub - great outdoor seating area with lots of sheltered benches - great beer selection

Great to have this fantastic local pub back after lockdown. Fab beers, amazing super friendly staff and the covid-secure procedures are sensible and well thought out. Check out their web site to pre-book a table to avoid disappointment. 👍

Lovely cosy pub with solid good food. Beers on tap are constantly changing which is great and they're always very good and interesting to try out. Pizza is delicious and so is all their other food. I have had several things from their menu and it never disappointed. Except that the burger is supposed to come medium but it's always well done. Minor issue as it is still a super delicious burger.

Dog (and people) friendly local, with a good selection of wines and beers. Gamma Ray on tap, and different food and drink specials every night of the week (see the photo of the sandwich board for details). I like stopping here after the nearby Brockley Market on Saturdays to have a drink and hang out in the garden. They do pints of shell-on prawns which I adore. You do get a lot of families stopping in, but I’ve never found it to be particularly overrun with small children.
