If you want oriental food supplies this is the place to come. It supplies lots of take-aways and restaurants but unlike other wholesalers, members of the public can shop there too. There are lots of Asian customers and the staff don't all speak English. Everything from live lobsters to crispy duck feet are available in modest to palleted quantities. Prices are pretty awesome for products you can buy elsewhere like soy sauce or fresh veg and of course there are plenty of items that would otherwise be impossible to find too. Massive range of noodles including fresh and dried, like more than a whole Isle worth, plus masses of frozen stuff that includes a huge range of won ton, dumplings, fish, squid...you can also get oriental cooking gear, chopsticks, That might be a covid thing. At the moment a strict mask policy is in place too. It was one of the most interesting shops I used to regularly use in the area. I now visit it twice a year... And that's from North Wales. Sort of let's you know how good I think this place is.

Disgraceful home delivery service. Beyond poor communication at best and downright rude at worst - cf. manager, Mr Wong. They got 50% of a delivery wrong (which amounted to over £500 on their receipt) and then expected the customer to rectify their mistake by sorting through 100 items in the snow. Items got returned on advice of the driver for repacking and then the store manager refused re-delivery! Got told that it was my problem. This order was worth a couple hundred pounds minimum. A genuinely shocking operation. Truly unbelievable.

Limited variety of products and they lie about their stock and don't allow you to make reservations so as I result I was unable to execute my Christmas menu. Had they been honest I'd have been able to source ingredients elsewhere. On top of this the staff are exceptionally rude! I was followed around the store being screamed at to put on a mask or I wouldn't be served, despite telling them multiple times I am exempt and producing proof they have no legal right to ask for. I will not be going back. Wing Yip is far better.

Store is clean and seems to be adhering to covid guidelines. This is a wholesale market primarily, so selection is rather slim in comparison to other large Asian markets. But, a good place to stock up on spices and cupboard essentials, but not much else. Fresh produce is extremely limited, except when sold in bulk.

Be careful at the till we got charged for items we didn't buy! The latest they charged 2 tins of grass jelly for the price of 2 boxes of 12! Charging us a whopping £60 for £3 worth of merchandise! Keep at eye on what they punch in and work out the sums before you pay or check your receipt before you leave. If it's £1-2 discrepancy I can understand but if it's >£50 and charging you boxes worth of single items makes me think something more sinister is going on.

They have Linghams Chili Sauce - our favourite for fried noodles! Generally well stocked. Love the little cafeteria where you could do a quick wonton noodle in between shopping. The refrigerated section has a good selection of frozen dimsums. However the lighting can be improved and the checkouts could be more streamlined, say, wholesale buyers shunted to two dedicated tills at one end and small retail purchases get processed faster at the other two tills
