Very disappointing to be honest. We waited an hour for the food - so expected something good. At 1st glance I could tell this was not the quality of food we were used too. The jerk chicken, turkey tails and meat (I have no idea which type) all had lots of hair on them. The Jellof did not taste as it should and the kelewele wasnât impressive either.The âmeatâ that came with one of the meals was an unappetising grey and had stew slapped on top of it.To be honest we only ate the Jellof because we were starving. On any other day it would have all gone in the bin - to be honest most of it did đ

The food was nice no complaint from me. They even stayed a bit later than their opening times to serve me and my group who was given the choice to eat-in which was lovely. Didnt wait long for the food and the service was real pleasant. Would go again when in the area.

I literally just came off the phone and came straight on here to write this. I called the shop and they guy picks up sounding like a young thug.. The way he said hello it felt like i was just calling someone of the street.. Speaking to him he had very poor poor poor customer service.. One of the worst I've heard. Base on that I will never order from this place again.. To add to it their food is over price.. I mean if they gave me a full container of food then I could understand but it's just about half.. When i asked if that's how they do it He responded to by saying if that's how you got it then that's how they do it... Close your shop and rehire people.. This is the issue with small black businesses.. They don't treat their business professionally and I'm black before anyone come on here talking nonsense l..

Today I tried for 30 mins to place an order on Just eat with jerk and jollof in Mitcham and got as far as the payment page and once I put my card details in nothing happened, the page didnât load, I tried on two iPads, I tried numerous times to no avail- this went on for 30 mins.I then called the restaurant and placed my order, my order was quite large as there were 8 of us in total as I had family over and had promised them a lovely takeaway from this place. First issue I was the restaurant apparently doesnât have a card machine so I was unable to pay using my card over the phone, very strange. The man I spoke to said he would accept cash and did I have cash, I said no but I could go and get some- even though this was an inconvenience this is what I did. The man then said he would call me back twice- once to make sure the order was ok because apparently he had never had an order for this much food before ?? And secondly to check how long it would take for delivery- I never got a callback and I myself had to call twice. I was then asked if I could make a âbank transferâ?!!! What? Has anyone heard of making a bank transfer to a restaurant before? What nonsense. I declined and was asked to ensure I had cash and the right amount which I said I would. Then I was asked if I could call âwhen I had the cashâ??!!! I said no Iâm going to the atm now and would have it for the driver. I was told delivery was 1 hr and would b with me at 4:30pm, so off I went to the atm got the money, at 4:25 I receive an text from the restaurant to say my order wouldnât be coming, I called the restaurant and explained how furious I was and why had they waited an hour to tell me this?? My husband then got on the phone to complain and spoke to the man I had been speaking to who frankly didnât care. We explained we had children here who were hungry and family too - what were we supposed to do now? I was asked do I want to collect the order?! I obviously declined. My husband said that we would never use them again to which the unhelpful and rude man replied âwe get by with enough ordersâ- rude rude rude!! I would NEVER use these people again and to think I had really talked them up and spoke highly of their cuisine as I had previously ordered fromThem- these people are rude and made me feel like I was going to rob them or I was running a hoax. This was for a special family occasion where I promised some really nice authentic African food- these people let us down and didnât trust us- are they in the wrong business? I would like to point out yes it was a large order which came to ÂŁ86.50 but it was for 8 people which isnât unreasonable. This place is an absolute disgrace and the man on the phone was rude and discourteous. 0 stars.

Never again will i order from here. I know as africans we take our time but comon this is just eat. There are actual real people waiting for food. Your business is all wrong and seems that money comes before a good customer. order was wrong. Was lied to constantly about when food was leaving the restaurant. Out of every just eat order i have done this is the only place that honestly do not care. Please dont reply to this as it will only be more lies. remove yourself from just eat, as all i have seen is bad reviews and a couple of lies.

Me and my son ordered a LARGE jollof rice with jerk chicken and a LARGE jollof rice with meat stew. After waiting nearly 2 hours we received one miserable chicken thigh and hard rice. The stew we wanted was nowhere to be found and instead of meat we received 4 measly chicken giblets. The food was inedible and landed straight in the garden for the fox. It seems even the fox has rejected the food, for obvious reasons.The food is truly a disappointment to African culture.Shame on youkonniEdited after owners response: You are unbelievable in excusing yourself. Off course you did deliver the bad food and off course we bought from you this once which was the worst I have ever seen. I will do my utmost to make people aware of your food. And I promise you I will let Food safety and hygiene know what you serve to innocent people.You should not be allowed to do this for very obvious reason.What a disgracegoodbye from mekonstantine

First time ordering any African food online from them and I had a great experience the. Food was great so on occasions I return.The lady that served me today was very friendly.Also the guy who does the deliveries is really polite and chatty. I will definitely be back.Advise, if you don't know what you are ordering, ask the restaurant :).One occasion I went with my cousine and her boyfriend and the guy was happy to help them to choose and they really loved it as well.

Firstly this is going to be constructive criticism because the reason we ordered from you was to support your business!1. The phone could to be answered professionally stating business name.2. I queried the type of meat in the soup and the order was still wrong.3. Burnt food (plantain).4. Fish in the soup was not descaled.5. Menu needs to be clearer, explaining what the dish consists of i.e. the soup for omu tuo.The jollof was great!! Will order again.

Made the worst mistake of my life ordering food from here via hungry house.2 hours of dispute in short:- Wrong ordered delivered- Refused to do replacement (even though they started lying on raising dispute they did)- Delivery refused to let me talk to the manager- Manager was unreasonable and unreachable over the phone and was calling these ridiculous shots on not delivering what we ordered and partial refund on recollection of food later at night.- Finally agreed on giving partial refund after they collect the food back. Kept blaming it's hungry house fault. I couldn't care less after one hour of patience trying to politely resolving it.4ish Hours Later- It is four hours after the partial food we did eat. I am sweating and have started vomiting. (it's 1:24 AM and we ate the partial food at 9:00 PM). I hope it doesn't turn into a food poisoning case.I will report them to Health inspection department just to make sure they're not reselling any recollected food.I hope someone benefits from this and doesn't become a victim like us.
