Horrible experience…. Don’t go to this restaurant. Hate the fact that I can’t leave 0 stars. We turned up at 6pm for dinner - we ordered straight away as we needed to leave to go elsewhere at 7pm. Roll on 6:50 no food in sight - we had to leave without any food! All the while delivery drivers were coming to pick up food. I would highly recommend not to attend as was disgraceful way to treat their customers!

The best biryani I've eaten so far! Good portion, decent pricing and arrived right on time when ordering for delivery. Great job and keep it up!

·

Delicious food, mild flavours therefore not overwhelming which was good. Huge portions, the vegetable thali is very good value for money.

Haven’t been to Samrat for at least 20 years, visited because of Eat Out to Help Out.Really friendly atmosphere and families with children were very welcome, food was spot on. King Prawn Bhuna with Nans was excellent. Tandoori dishes perfect, bring your own alcohol was also a bonus.Definitely will come back

You know what this place is really good. I’m very fussy about curries and the fresh food used in them. The curries have loads of flavour and cooked properly. I have eaten in and got takeaway. I think it is one of the best curries in the area. Thanks to the team there

Our first order last week. Pre-ordered for a specific time & it arrived on time!! Ordered a very hot lamb dish along with a chicken tikka & a chicken korma. Sides were, onion rice, plain rice, then Naans & poppadoms and it was the nicest curry order we have had in a very long time. The lamb dish was very much enjoyed & its really hard to please the person that ordered this dish!! Both chicken dishes were flavoursome & the meat was cooked really well not dry & tough. The only slightly dissapointing thing was a few reviews said they got lots of complimentry bits, that said we'll still definitely be ordering again!

The choice of curries is extensive and goes beyond the standard picks. The starters are large portions so bare that in mind. The onion bhaji is only £2.50 but you get three massive bhajis! The chutneys with the poppadoms are great and everything comes out hot. I'd definitely eat here again.

There can be a bit of a wait on a Saturday (we waited half an hour between arriving and having our meal arrive), but the staff are friendly and the atmosphere is great. The food is entirely worth the wait (which really isn't that long when you think how long it takes to actually cook meals) and the poppadoms and chutneys are a great filler of time. Portion sizes are good for sharing, and we got a shared starter, two mains and two naans for just over £31.The quality of the take away menu is just as good as the in-house offerings and takes almost the same amount of time.

One of the nicest Bengali Indian restaurants I have dine in ,in a very long timeVery attentive and friendly staffWith 26 in the party very impressed with the quick serviceThere are some 6 private booths separated by glass pannel screens with sceans of IndiaWhich I particularly likedI lived in Sri Lanka from 1959-1967 when it was know as CeylonWith my partner from Calcutta we known our food. This establishment offers both to the Anglo tastes as well as to the subcontinent pallet

It's really cosy with private booths. The sofas and carpets combined with the booths and small bar give the place a warm and welcoming atmosphere. This is my favourite Indian restaurant in Tooting!
