Had to wait for about 20 mins but well worth it the fish was beautifully cooked x would highly recommend x

Had a craving for fish and chips, I wasn't disappointed. Still crispy by the time I got home. I got the normal sized cod which was huge (see photo). Friendly staff. Highly recommended.

Delicious food. They forgot to send the tartare sauce I ordered, but the owner then insisted on offering me a full refund to make amends. Lovely people and great food. Definitely recommend!

Gluten Free (only on Wednesdays), fresh and super delicious! Crispy, not oily - everything you want good quality fish and chips to be. They won't disappoint! The owner did mention the demand for GF was down, so please support them or it may stop! That would be a real shame

I visited Golden Anchor yesterday after 5 or 6 years. Everything was exactly as I remembered - excellent food, very generous portions, extremely friendly owners! I cannot recommend Golden Anchor enough for all Fish&Chips fans, you will not be dissapointed!

This place was amazing! Lives up to all the hype. Also the owner makes you feel like one of the locals and will make you wish you lived here if you don't.

Great Gluten free fish and chips served on Wednesday. I’m not gluten intolerant but my wife is. Nevertheless I also ordered gluten free and I can honestly say that I could not tell that it wasn’t the “normal” serving. Extremely tasty and crispy batter. Will be back.!
