Awful ExperienceWent today as a family of 3. Waitresses not bothered about customer service. Food was as bland and tasteless as can be. Roast carvery, everything tasted washed out with no flavour.Waitress not attentive and not at all bothered .Travellers encampment in car park and using the restaurant for free food. Waitress walking around with a burger in hand,Eating it as she walked around. Customer vapying and no one stopped them.waitresses shouting to each other.Never again

First off I found that the tables were extremely close to one another leading us to not feel covid safe when eating here. Being so close you could also hear other parties conversations just as loud as your own. Even pre covid I think this would put me off a bit! The carvery food was ok but the gravy was so incredibly thick that it ruined everything else to be honest.Would not hurry back

Really nice meal. The chef was really jolly and very helpful. The rest of the staff were nice and chilled and happy too. The food was great. We are all veggie so it was nice that we can have just veggies and trimmings without feeling pressured into having some bad nut roast. Nice place for a Sunday dinner.

Very disappointing , food was good and the people serving the food where polite but ...service ? What service ? The waitress doesn't offer drinks and avoids the customer's. After getting her attention after eating almost all my food she then took our drink order which took over 15 minutes to turn up yet the restaurant was not busy at all and had plenty of staff...bit of advice when you seat your customers ask them what drinks the want ! One staff member in particular the big lady to put it nicely just sits about eating haribo !

I haven't eaten from Toby for years. I didnt eat in. They were givng their food away at a bargain price through the Too Good To Go app. It was worth the trek. Generous potions served nice and warm. I had a vegetarian roast while my friend had a meat roast. It was delicious. I will eat again from there. Only reason I haven't given 5 stars is because I haven't actually sat down to eat in there yet. Hopefully the food will be just as tasty as it was for take away.

This place made me very sad. I booked a table and drove 40 minute to this place yet still managed to be seated in the cold hallway right next to the toilet stairs. Any time we asked for basics we was told they don’t have it. Such as a straw and ketchup. I was the unlucky person who got all the grizzly bits of the lamb and the food as really not good. I should have just went to my local pub.

Waited about 10 minutes to be seated, then had to go over to the waitress and ask for drinks. The meat serving is so poor literally gave the tiniest bit of meat!!. And then about 3 waitresses standing at the till doing nothing!, we was waiting to order pudding after waiting about 15 minutes we again had to go over and ask if we can order pudding!. And again for the bill. Its really gone down hill. I dont think I will be visiting this carvery ever again!. All the staff look miserable and like they can't be bothered to be working!.

Went on Monday good service and food was absolutely TOP Q. So went back today and they were even better! As always seriously exceptional value for money! I starved myself all day for a massive pig out and ate a plate full the same weight as my car...ha ha. Don't forget to enter your reg at reception.

I tend to go here because it is local to me, its more like a self service "cafe" than a restaurant. The last couple of visits have been disappointing as we were kept waiting to be seated for quite a while standing in the entrance, while staff just stood around looking at us, (there were loads of empty, but laid tables). When we collected our food it was not very hot (again!) And not much meat on our plates. We are quite regular visitors to Toby carvery, however this is probably our least favourite venue out of the many around us.

Worst experience ever. The waitress ignore us as much as she could, for about 20 min. We ordered from the children's menu a "chicken burguer" and foot long pig in blanket, after other 20 min, we got a sausage in a tiny bowl that looks like had been in the oven for 3 days and for my son a bun with "thing" nuggets. Couldn't give munus 1 star other wise I couldn't post the rewiev.Other people came to their tables with a pile of food in a gigantic plate, I guess that's why people like the place, quantity above everything else.
