Whistlestop in Merton

This is the most amazing fish and chip shop in the area and since these guys took over some time ago, I wouldn't go anywhere else....The staff are absolutely amazing, friendly, personable and you won't find a bunch of nicer people. The food is all cooked fresh to order and is really beautiful. It's fresh, clean and the portions are really generous, so generous in fact, that me and my sister share a portion and still have leftovers....I just cannot rate these guys enough and you won't be disappointed if you eat there....Keep up the good work guys - Your regular customers - Katie and Claire.

Ordered a meal deal for deliver with Uber Eats with a spicy beanburger, chips and drink. It was reasonable value, well packaged, warm and tasted ok. The burger was a bit plain, the only to ping was 3 lettuce leaves.

My husband and I had cod each and shared a large chips. The cod was DELICIOUS! Lovely firm fillet, super fresh, very tasty batter perfectly cooked. The chips portion was huge and it was so delicious that we didn't even use any sauces. We have ordered from Whistle Stop before and same experience. The guy at the counter was also lovely. Highly recommended.

This is an EASY 100 STAR review. I initially called them asking if they did fried Mars bars and low and behold...they did. I knew they were closing at 9pm so rushed their. We arrived there at 8:20pm and they super kindly reminded us that they close at 9pm. The place is clean and tidy and the customer service is amazing. They are pleasant, vibrant and EXTREMELY polite. Now with the food!!!! Hands down the BEST fish and chips place in London. I've been to many fish and chip places and the food in this one is DELICIOUS. Their food is clean, perfectly battered, tasty and generous. The batter is golden and crispy the chips are cooked to perfection and there was no aftertaste at all. The food was not oily at all. The food was just bliss! Even their chicken pie was lovely. After that we ordered a deep fried Mars Bar. Again delicious. Anyway we ended up staying 15mins after closing and they were so nice about it (please do not take this as an invitation to rock up there and stay as long as you like..they're such nice people). Although it wont do any justice to the food...just know and trust when I say that Whistle Stop have one of the best local fish and chips in London I've ever had including the BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE experienced. I will be back!
