Awful service. If you eat in..you order food, they just eave you sitting there whilst they serve their takeaway customers. They have done this to me several times. This is why I would NEVER EVER eat there again. There is nothing in their menu they cook better than me.

I have been visiting Calabash @ vicarage lane for at least 22 years when I worked at UEL, wow! standards have been maintained with the delicious food, service was a bit slow, but this was due to the heavy customer traffic. I don't mind travelling from soho, for a taste of their veg rice & escovitch fish dumpling or festival, I tell you!

Authentic home style food one of the best Caribbean places in east London!

I've only tried a handful of Caribbean restaurants in east London and this in my opinion has got to be the best one.via deliveroo; I ordered jerk chicken, ox tail stew, mac and cheese and 3 pieces of festival. The food arrived in less than 30 minutes. The portions were generous, full of flavour and at great value. ticked every box I will definitely be ordering again.

The last time I ordered from here the curry goat was so salty I ended up throwing the entire meal in the bin. Compared to other local west Indian restaurants I'm sorry to say but its really not very good at all (well, from my last experience)One of my friends buys from them regularly but said that depending on who is in the kitchen that day the quality dips. I think their prices are really high for the amount of food given and high for the fact that the food often isn't very good (just my opinion) the saving grace is that the ladies serving are always very nice and always have a smile which is refreshing.Sorry to give such a bad review, I love supporting local businesses but just got to speak as I personally found. After reading a few reviews I saw a few people also felt the same. I really don't want to come across as mean that is not my intent.

Was ordering on just eat and I thought "wow it's a bit deer". Nah, not in the slightest. The portions are massive.I'm a fat guy and I couldn't even finish a meal by myself. The taste is nice, and that was probably one of the best Mac and cheese sides I've had in a long time. They know what they're doing. Proper west indie food. The parties are good and packed with meat.I definitely have to come over to dine inside after this Corona mess is over.Ta' for the proper delicious meal.

I went to Calabash for a takeaway. The food was very nice (stewed chicken with rice n peas and a fish and cheese/beef patty). Usual serious mannered service you get in a Caribbean takeaway but polite.Good value for money.I would definitely return when I am in London and fancy Caribbean food😄
