Carluccio's - Wimbledon in Newham

So I visited here this afternoon with some girlfriends after having an amazing brunch and Megan's....we wanted to try somewhere else for desert and having had carluccios food and desserts thought we would try here! Firstly the manager and staff need training on their customer service and attitude skills as BOTH are highly lacking..And if they don't want diners coming in for deserts or coffee they should a sign up..."NOT ALL CUSTOMERS ARE VALUED CUSTOMERS" (unless they are obviously white) firstly when we walked In the staff looked at us like aliens that just made us feel uncomfortable at the outside. The waiter then looked around the empty and restaurant and said " oh let me see if we have availability" ....are you serious the restaurant was literally EMPTY at lunch time! He then eventually seated 5 of us and my toddler gave us menus and we stated we just want coffees and desserts...to which again the confused look returned and he said he would have to ask his manager!!!! Ask his manager what!????? I could see all of this playing out in the decorative mirrors I front of me...the manager with a face like thunder .....the waiter returned to the table and said" its fine"..... at this point I was confused and didn't really want to stay there any longer! And he again returned stating..." just to let you know there's no vanilla ice cream or tiramisu"..that was enough for us to make our minds up to leave ....we stood up and said sorry its fine we're going to leave....the waiter and the manager were unbothered by this! Maybe the fact it was Wimbledon or maybe the colour of our skins....BUT utterly disappointed by the attitudes and ethics of this establishment!

Delicious food, fab service and great bits to keep the nippers busy! Drinks were lovely too 👌🏽

We have been visiting Carluccios for years. We love that they are child friendly and the food is always absolutely delicious!! We always feel comfortable and even when we haven’t booked the staff are always friendly and super accommodating. There are some mini donuts filled with pistachio crème on the dessert menu that come with a coffee for £4.95. Absolutely heaven on earth all under £5 😋 I love you Carluccios Wimbledon please don’t ever leave !!!

Great food and staff. Try to avoid lunchtime at the weekend as it gets very busy with kids if you want a more relaxed experience but overall a great place.

I had a lovely evening at Carluccio's, this was the first time I'd eaten here. I had originally booked the table for 12, 3 days before my 50th Birthday but was given a surprise party so the table went down to 6 and then 3. But it was a lovely meal, I had the chicken with white wine sauce and asked for just a little sauce incase I didn't like it but it was really nice. There was no complaints or moaning that I changed the seating numbers last minute, they were very nice and friendly especially the manager. I will definitely be back soon and would highly recommend eating here.

I was treated superbly by Antonio and the whole team who put on a tailor made birthday celebration for 23 people. The service was excellent; the food was crisp and fresh and the atmosphere was wonderful.

Slow in bringing order which was cold and tasteless.Very disappointing breakfast. The coffee tasted burnt and lukewarm, food wise overall I waited 20 minutes to be given cold poached eggs, cold vegetables (that lacked any flavour or seasoning), and the smallest piece of bread I've ever seen. A really poor experience and one I couldn't recommend.

The guy who seemed to be a manager was very rude and smelled lot like Tobacco. The restaurant was pretty full and only one member of staff was running without getting any help from him. Not a really nice scenario to see!!

Food was delicious but service not so great. Sides ordered we're forgotten initially then wrong order brought at the end of the meal. This was mid-week and not particularly busy. Might try again.

Planned to go to Cote but had mind changed in last minute to try this place which looked stylish and with good ambient, but with much regrets. Had a few seafood dishes and shocked to find them all prepared from frozen seafood, totally not fair for the prices. Tried a few wine recommendations as well but all failed to impress. Shoud have stick with Cote.
