Custom House Pub and Kitchen in Newham

Some of the worst food I've ever had. Shockingly bad.The food was probably reheated or frozen and lacked any flavour or texture. All the meats were dried out and lacked any taste.I would not recommend the pub as an eatery at all. They showed sports (rugby) on several televisions and a selection of drinks but next time I would stay well clear of the food as that was simply awful!

Very delicious food. Everyone are polite. Very clean and friendly place!

Live nearby, was craving for ribs. The ribs was the way to dry, hardly to cut, chew and swallow😂 I will probably stay away from ribs for some time.

Needed to grab some food after checking into our hotel. Everything around the Excel centre was closed or really quiet at the time. However we saw some reviews on The Custom House Pub and thought we’d give it a try. On arrival it was also pretty quiet and a little tired looking. However the staff were friendly and efficient and the food was really good. We had the homemade pie and I have to say it was one of the nicest I’ve had. Would highly recommend that dish!

We came in for dinner on a Saturday afternoon in Feb 2020 after visiting the Excel centre. The Staff and service where amazing. Do NOT rate this pub from the appearance outside. The food was hot and tasty. The staff could not have been more helpful, welcoming or friendly, I truly believe this pub is not given the credit it deserves. A massive thank you to Abass and Sophia you are both a credit to this pub and we would definitely come back. The cleanliness of the pub was also exemplary the toilet also get 5 stars for cleanliness too. The pub also had a lovely fire burning too.Mrs L Brown (group of 5 adults

Nice food, nice place, staff could do with some manners as came across quite brash and rude.

Friendly little pub and our go to stop when at MCM comic con in London. The staff are always lovely and helpful and there is a great atmosphere there, really enjoyed the last time we were there as they had an acoustic night on.The bar is well stocked usually and toilets are always clean and staff are fast to respond when required.

Disappointing - overpriced for what appeared to be overcooked, frozen food plus the 12.5% service charge (including on the beer!). Bar prices not too painful though and the staff were friendly

Compliments to the chef, the food was delicious. However, the service left much to be desired. A manager had to tell staff to come serve as they were no where to be found on the bar, and when the food arrived we had to wait a good ten minutes before being able to eat as the cutlery was so hot it almost burnt mine and my partners hands when we picked them up.

Comfortable and friendly if a bit pricey. They serve food but unfortunately we didn't try any. Traditional menu. The bar does not accept cards but that is not a problem as there is a cash machine in the hotel you can walk to inside the building.
