Recently moved to the area. Thought I’d try as 3 mins from us and excellent reviews!! So ordered via website! Entered address twice! As website wasn’t displaying the correct address on entry? So called to make sure they understood the correct address!Get call! Driver sent to wrong address! We waited for him to arrive downstairs. He was waving the bag around and double checking with restaurant! Despite having the correct address and my partner’s telephone number (which just rang)😟Finally get the food our, excited, our first takeaway!Food seeping out of bags. Lukewarm. Greasy marks. Typically my partner was starving so ate some of his with extra chilli 🌶.My butter chicken was greasy lumpy gloopy completely inedible! 🤮. So I only has onion BhajiPartner so disappointed, rang to complain! Kept being offered a new butter chicken. But by this stage I couldn’t face it! Partner asked for a refund and said he would leave bad review. Was told “You’re new to the area! Watch your back”. Asked if it was a threat ? Phone put down! Be careful 😡

This is the healthiest & tastiest curry house in London!Being a regular food reviewer of different places across London i'm not quick to give 5 stars (see my profile). However Pier Masala was on point and truly deserves an award for their good healthy food and service all round. They're only across the river from East London and took me a mere 15 minutes to get down to them.So I ordered my first take away from Pier Masala.I ordered:- King Prawn Biriyani (comes with free Tarka Daal or Vegetable curry)- Garlic Chilli Chicken Tikka Curry- Boiled riceI had a lot of dishes to look forward to when I got home.I love King Prawns, the biriyani was just amazing, full of flavour and seasoned with the right spices and chillies. The rice was also flavoursome and full of colour and it was not dry to chew just perfect.I chose to have my biriyani with the Tarka Daal which came free with the biriyani. The mixture with King Prawn biriyani and Daal (lentil soup) was just amazing. It gave the biriyani a good kick! The Daal was seasoned well and would go with any rice dish nicely.I then moved onto the Garlic Chilli Chicken Tikka! This was a recommended dish, I love tasty food and boy was this tasty! This dish was not hot but full of flavour, I could taste the Chefs special sauce which was a mixture of tomatoes, garlic and other ingredients. Now that I've tasted this I am spoilt for choice! The chicken was tender, I could taste the tikka and eat the rest of my rice with the special sauce. In fact once the chicken had finished I saved the left over sauce in my fridge because I can have it the next day with my rice or mix it with pasta at home. From a health perspective they use less oil in their food in my opinion. Curry from other restaurants is half filled with oil... that's not good. The Garlic Chilli Chicken Tikka curry has little to no oil. Just take a look at my attached photos. Honestly it's the healthiest curry I've tasted in London and my stomach feels like the chicken i ate is coming to life this morning!Living in East London I've learnt to venture out to local places and not judge places only by their looks or where they're based. Sometimes reviews left by others can also be subjective whether their positive or negative. My best advice to anybody reading this review, stop pondering and taste the food for yourself. Then come back and tell me about your experience. You will not be left dissapointed!Thank you Pier Masala 10/10! 👍🏽

Waiter recommended us some tea, but it wasn't in menu. We thought that is't a present (free one). After checking the bill, there was 2,5 pounds for masala tea price!!! He didn't say anything about it. So the tea price is really high! Be careful. And try not order dishes with fish. Small portion and no taste of fish.

Well, to be ohnest this place is nothing special. The owner/waiter wasn't really polite. Description is misleading is not an Indian restaurant, it's a Pakistani one. Food was so so, waited too long. Fish dish was really awful. The most disappointed thing was a Masala tea, the guy was offering us it over and over and then put £2,5 per cup! So all in all, I wouldn't recommend this place, there are plenty of similar which are way better in terms of price, quality, taste and owner attitude towards clients.
