Pizza Express Stratford - Theatre Square in Newham

All the Pizza Express restaurants have the same bland and dreary appearance and this one is no different. I haven’t been in here for years and probably won’t go in again due to how much it costs but I always found Pizza Express to be pretty flavourless. If one is to eat something so unhealthy, the consolation should be an enjoyable meal. While I have never eaten cardboard, I would imagine it tastes like Pizza Express pizzas. Being next to the Picture House, which, as I recently discovered, has become a hang out for local gangs, the only reason to go here is if you are waiting to watch a film there or want to eat something after the harrowing experience of having been pelted with beverage bottles and food at the cinema. That, I suppose, is the 4F equivalent at Picture House.

Mohammed and an eastern European lady served us evening of 12/3. Both were great with my 4 year old and kept making him laugh. Fantastic staff and loved the food. Will be back.

Simion and his team were great!We were very well looked after and the manager always checked on us made sure we had everything but also introduced us to the rewards APP and the result of that was we had our dough balls for free. Will definitely return.

Good food as always, and excellent service from our waiter Lewis who was extremely friendly and went above and beyond!

Had a very great experience here... it was I and my sisters first time eating here. I loved the service there. I'm not the type to try new things but this was definitely something I'd open my mind to and try new things again

Fantastic service on Thursday 17th, we had Theatre tickets and were delayed in heavy traffic, four starving people and only 45 mins to order and eat, we asked the server if it would be possible to eat and be out in 45 mins, she spoke to the chefs, they said, yes no problem, orders taken everything arrived in 10 mins. We were all done by 6.45. Lovely pizza’s too!

The drinks are sensational. I had the mango passion fruit drink. They put a slice of passion fruit in the drink made it taster that much more refreshing and sweeterThe pizza was good I had egg and spinach an unusual combination but by the waiters recommendation it paid off. The other pizza ground spicy beef was good but really oily. Do not get the Palenta fries they are disgusting.Doughballs were amazing.Calamari was so soft and well cooked.

Staff were so friendly. Went in for a quick classic american pizza and a hot chocolate .. staff upsold me on a vodka with strawberry juice -had two! Quick and efficient staff. Restaurant always clean inside- i sat outside and that was clean too.

If you have a taste card or meerkat then you get the 2for 1 deal. The price will be good then. We had a Flotentina (spinach with egg) and one with artichokes and mushrooms(ring shaped so it is empty in the middle,they put salad there instead). Both pizzas were good and the servers were nice and friendly. The atmosphere was good too as you can have a view of the street sitting next to the windows. I'd recommend this pizza Express.
