Wagamama - Westfield Stratford City in Newham

A fan of wagamama; however, this was a totally disappointing experience. Waited approximately 25 minutes for a table; however, this was understandable as it was a Saturday evening. There were loads of empty tables; however, staff were not cleaning them to seat people in the line, not sure why. Once given a table, it took approx 20 minutes for anyone to approach the table to take drinks/food order, and this was only after calling a staff member. During the meal, various waiters approached with food items that were not ordered by ourselves, in which we turned them away.After finishing and waiting another 20 minutes for a staff member, we asked for the bill, the bill then arrived, and it included the items not ordered by us (the ones we turned away). Once we told staff they told us they needed to speak with the manager to get them off the bill. Instead, they just carried out serving other customers, with no one coming back to us for approx 15 minutes. We then had to walk up to the serving section to raise this with a member of staff, who said he would sort it and told me he would bring the updated bill to the table. Another 15 minutes later, he brought the correct bill, which we paid, and we left. Overall, an hour dining turned into a 2-hour 15-minute experience. Absolutely poor service, understaffed. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Decent service with great portions. Katsu curry is never a fail and the vegan chilli squid tasted quite nice.

As always, food was excellent and very reasonably priced, staff friendly, polite and accommodating, great atmosphere and quick service without being rushed. It's the first time my partner has been here, he's not stopped raving about it and wants to know when we're going again! Thanks for a brilliant experience again guys.

The food was slightly warm only, the chicken had a very strong taste , dead looking coriander on top .. the prawn was cleaned well…

Went with friends who have never experienced the taste of wagamama. Service was great as always.staff were helpful service was on point.

The staff are all very friendly and accommodating, especially the manager since I told them about my seafood allergy. My partner enjoyed his meal however I didn’t but I think it’s just what I ordered nevertheless I’d recommend this restaurant

Unless you're particularly unlucky, you generally know with wagamama that you will get decent quality food that tastes good. This was no exception on our recent visit, however I wanted to point out just how good they are with allergies. Upon informing Alice, our wonderful waitress, we were given a specific menu with items that were 'safe'. We were also told to only accept our food from her so that there could be no mix up in a dish being served from the regular menu. This is the most seriously I've seen a chain restaurant take allergens in their stride and I commend them for the process they have in place. While there's always a chance of cross contamination in the kitchen, for those that have severe allergies or dietary restrictions, wagamama go above and beyond to be inclusive and offer you the same enjoyment of your meal out as any 'regular menu' guest.

Great service, the food was fresh and tasty. We ordered the Korean buns and the chicken katsu curry, it was delicious!!

Visited for birthday lunch, was very busy and they were short staffed, but still managed to serve us quickly. I love their food because its very tasty, light and healthy. Will keep coming back and back.

Dont usually give a two to restaurant. But this is worth it to give the two. Well i guess the stereotype is true british people know food taste because all the food just bland have to add so many sauces to make it even has any taste. Imagine eating something tasteless its the worst. I dont even know how do this get 4 stars and above so not worth it. All just bland and not recommended. The katsu banana just use weird wrong katsu breadcrumbs and the ice cream was the worse. Do not get this. How do i know? Well i have eaten so many asian food to know that is one of the worst well at least better than maui poke obviously and itsu and wasabi. Not recommended and dont waste your time.
