If you're looking for great food and great service, this is NOT the place to go! My mum and I visited during a Saturday afternoon, which you think would be their busiest time of the week, but the place was practically empty! For this reason, we presumed it wouldn't take long to have our order taken, especially as we could see about four waitresses standing around chatting, but after about ten minutes, we were still waiting, so I went up to the counter myself to get the menus. We then had to call over one of the waitresses, who looked like she didn't want to be there, didn't smile, or seem to lack any customer service experience. In fact, when we ordered, she came across as quite patronising. I had to wait ages for my order of a plain roast chicken baguette, which they got wrong THREE times - first it came with rashers of bacon, then chicken strips coated in breadcrumbs, and then I was served some grey looking chicken with mash and no baguette! Seriously!! The manager then decided to come over (well I think he was the manager but he didn't think to introduce himself) and inform me that is what I ordered. Not once did I receive an apology from any member of staff for a) the delay with my order or b) for continually getting my order wrong. By this time I had lost my appetite and walked out of there without offering to pay as I was so disappointed! I used to visit this place all the time and loved their food, service and ambience, but I think it has been taken over by new people and not for the better. Highly disgusted and highly unrecommended.

If you like flavour DO NOT EAT HERE!. I had to send mt quiche back as the eggs resembled and had the consistency of congealed rubber, they did offer me a soup and some cold bread as a substitute. My sons pasta pesto has 0 flavour. This place could be so much more but unfortunately having such a massive range of food means they don't do anything well.

Ordering a birthday cake online has never been easier. The cake was so amazing. Better than the photos online! So much care was taken to make it and it was perfect (and tasted exceptionally good!). Collection is from your nearest branch and the Wanstead Team were so polite and took care when handing over the cake at collection. Trustworthy and reliable. Thank you

Amazing place... was sceptical after reading a couple of reviews but then we decided to give it a try. And it was a completely opposite experience. Just loved every bit of it..!! Lovely staff and tasty food... will be back again.

So, ended up having an ok rest stop here, but left a sour taste after initially being told take away only at 6:08pm Friday night when they close at 7pm "as we need time to clean". Go figure!Very disappointed that planned rest stop would be disposable cup mocha standing in the cold with hubby... so went outdoors to let him know. They came to their senses and offered to seat us, a minute later.... So what was that all about? Not impressed. Please don't advertise as open then refuse to seat customers.Beware of visiting here after 6pm!!!!

Worst breakfast place I've been to in a while - and it's difficult to get breakfast wrong. Very unwelcoming place - waiters are rude and unfriendly, furniture is tacky and outdated (for what the place is), cold in temperature whether you're seated indoors or outdoors. We were sat inside and had to keep our coats on the entire time - which is unacceptable. No bacon served since everything is halal, which was disappointing and left us with not much option. Side salad was not fresh, came with one slice of cucumber and one slice of tomato. No toast available, just a stiff, toasted bagel which cut the upper palette of my mouth. They also don't have the option of fried egg (sunny side up), just poached or scrambled - which is a joke in itself. The only decent things were the freshly squeezed orange juice, grilled halloumi and the lemon/smashed avocado side. Embarrassing considering the reputation the place used to have. I will not be returning.

This place is incredible. Nice location, a stone throw away from Wanstead Station. Ample parking on the side roads. Halal food and a great range of options. On a warm summers day, this place is the ultimate place to enjoy your breakfast, lunch, tea time and evening meal. They have a huge variety of desserts, cakes, snacks. Along with a good range of burgers, fish, chips, pasta and so much more. The quality of the food and service is excellent. Go and treat yourself.Salim Patel

This is a nice place for a good coffee and a big variety of desserts always fresh and always looking delicious. In photos: irish cream coffee and gold chocolate praline dessert.Great service, and friendly stuff members on each our visit.I'll recommend to visit in less busy hours to avoid overcrowding, and most important, waiters/waitresses will be less stressed, will take and bring your orders on time, and you'll be able to enjoy the atmosphere.

Bit of a mixed bag, staff members on an individual basis were very nice, polite & courteous, but there were not enough of them to ensure a good level of service. When waitresses are having to do the cleaning (spraying cleaning solutions) and picking up of litter then straight away having to handle the food does not bode well for hygiene. Also, their menu does not always reflect what is actually served, my Cherry Love ice cream Sundae had absolutely no cherries except for a thin squirt of cherry sauce (see photo) and their "fresh whole peppermint leafs tea" that was just a mint tea teabag in a cup, also see photo. Maybe it's a one off, but I'll be loathed go back!Oh and there's a two hour limit per table which wouldn't be so bad, but for the majority of the 2 hours was waiting for service, then waiting for the actual food and drinks to turn up. Which reminds me, when you order a coffee as a starter to have whilst waiting for the main course to turn up, you don't expect everything to turn up at once, starter/coffee + main & juice.Note to Management, please manage the work flow and workforce not swan around chatting up the customers because you soon won't have many.Thank you.

Delicious halal breakfast, tasty burgers and lovely fresh cakes and pastries. Nice place to go in the summer! Can get very busy. Recommend the lemon and coconut pastry (picture included)
