Caraway in Redbridge

Totally dodgy people and dodgy service. We went there last night (14th Feb,2022) with 4 adults and three kids (7,7,13), we ordered for 4 meals and 2 X Nuggets & chips for two kids.What they served us was Two set meals for starter and main course. Only dessert serving was correct. (Initially they served us 2 desserts though and when we asked for more then they brought 2 more). Some of us were feeling uncomfortable to speak out about the order given and what was served. Thats why we just let it go. But guys, you were charging £25p/p which is exorbitant and pushing customers to oder for everybody. Why on earth you want to push customers to order for everybody when they don't need to and unless you have a special policy which you should have mentioned to the customers before they enter through your door, later on serve them with less food.Don't you care about customer service, goodwill and reputation of your business?You guys were totaly disgusting. not only charged us extra but got us waiting for the food for very long. we saw people came after us and been served with main course way before us.GUYS BE AWAYE OF THIS RESTAURANT.

Excellent food but its freezing in there. This place has changed so much over the years . The food is exceptionally good as always but the ambience and comfort is gone.They are obviously not heating the restaurant in an effort to save on energy bills . However I am sure customers do not appreciate a place which is so cold that you dare not take off your jacket.I asked to be moved and it was just as bad in the other part of the restaurant.I will order caraway as a takeaway or delivery only. I won't be coming to dine inside such cold establishment .Such a shame .

Waitress was rude and patronising she got our order wrong. Then came back and was trying to forcefully make us agree that we forgot to order something when we actually did order something and she didn't note it down she even wrote the wrong nan bread down too which we had to correct her for. We ordered 2 curries lamb Karahi and butter chicken the portion was so small there was literally 4 pieces of meat in each dish 4 small pieces which wasn't enough and the whole pot was just filled up with sauce which tasted old and tasteless. The waitress was not helpful and was just being rude we told her she forgot to give our rice to eat with our food which she ignored and we finished eating and still it didn't come. Overall service was appalling food wasn't great portion size was also ridiculously small. Definitely not worth the money. Won't be going there ever again. First and last time visit! We were literally eating curry sauce as they forgot to give our rice dishes etc and there was no meat in the curry. Disgraceful! 0/10

Caraway is always a safe option for good Indian food. The food is tasty and always consistent! I love the fabulous paintings inside the restaurant. I loved the Peshwari Naan and Chicken starter.

Definitely 5 stars all round for our eveningMy mum and I visited on 19/01/22Firstly the food quality ,taste ,flavours they serve ,are proof they love customers.We are always grateful for The kind , helpful staff , represented the restaurant well also this creates a comfortable environment and happy customers .The foods flavours and quality on offer were to a very high standard , and taste absolutely lovely.OverallWill definitely dine here again.

Beautiful food and great service x

We went there on a Thursday evening. It was reasonably busy. The decor was nice, the ambiance was pleasant, the staff were polite. They all had masks on, so it felt safe. The food arrived within a reasonable time. Food was very good. They have a range of items available. Really enjoyed myself. Will defo recommend it.

Had my bridal shower party here last night and was so pleased with the service and the food. All my friends and family were well looked after and Amid the manager on duty was so accommodating to each and every one of our needs. Thank you to the Caraway team last night for making my Bridal Shower party so special!

food was tasty and presented well. Large portion and good value. Venue is old, tired in need of maintenance.. tables sticky...chair arms broken. Waiter's clothes dirty...

Good tasty food, only criticism is the portions are far too small and each dish you order whether bhindi, paneer or or corn, these dishes represents 25% main item with the rest is onions tomatoes and capsicums. Shame. Happy to pay more if you are given what you order rather add other items.Please take a note and adapt.
