Only two stars, and that was for the food as the food was excellent. However, table service was shocking first; the waitresses dropped the starter garlic mushrooms on my daughter she did go and get kitchen roll and wipes to clean up, and she did apologise then while having our mains one of my daughters had finished so the waitress leaned over me to take her plate and then grabbed my other daughters plate so she lifted up her basket of chips which she was still eating and left. So rude, which I pointed out at the time then came the deserts, and not once did she ask us if we wanted more drinks, so we asked for the bill, and the waitresses just disappeared I did ask another waitress but was told our waitress would be with us soon. One hour, it took her to come back, and then she asked us if we wanted more drinks a complete joke if we waited any longer it would have being a bed we needed not more drinks. So you visit this establishment run if you get Eleanor as your waitress. Miller and Carter need to train their staff more.

Good steak joint, middle of the pack in terms of prices but you're getting good quality. Excellent starters and a nice collection of drink. They're a bit strict on dress code, there's also a separate bar, and staff are usually pretty nice. This place gets booked quick, so make sure to get a reservation for weekends. Never felt like I'm waiting too long for service or food and they're quite accommodating. Great place for dates and first time steak folks too.Most recent trip was starters only.

We went here for our Anniversary dinner last night and we had a great time! The food was superb, we had the camebert sharer and the Butcher's Block platter all cooked to perfection! The service was fantastic despite the staffing issues that the team were facing! Thanks for a great evening! We definitely recommend!

Best eating out experience I have had in a long time. To start the place is warm and inviting, the staff are very pleasant and welcoming, our waiter was kind efficient and polite, and the food was delicious. Will definitely go again and totally recommend a visit.

Good quality steakhouse, generous with the sauces for the steaks (no extra cost). Mainly beef meals but some variations. Good décor and reasonable seating comfort. Price was competitive for a lunchtime menu. Enjoyed the experience.

Havent been to M&C for quite a while a d this was a bit spur of the moment for a birthday meal for 7 of us. I've never been to this restaurant. The place is really nicely laid out. The food was amazing and the service great. Having been to the Hawksmoor over Xmas and paid 3 times per head more and leaving dissatisfied I was really pleased with last night's experience. 🙂

Deanna was amazing, she really looked after us today. There was no rush to leave the restaurant and social distancing maintained at a high level. Food and drinks were great, no complaints :)))

Me and my partner are regular millers diners. We usually go to the chigwell branch and also Bournemouth when we stay there. We decided to go to the Newbury Park one and was completely disappointed. The food wasn’t up to standard at all, we had to send back almost every dish and for my main we even had it taken off of the bill. The chicken was so greasy it tasted vile unfortunately there would of been no time to make me another dinner so I had to leave the restaurant hungry. My partners onion loaf tasted exactly like my greasy chicken so it was clearly a hygiene issue. When speaking to the manager he immediately dismissed us when my partner was only trying to tell him about how disappointed we both was. Also the kitchen was playing loud rap music and kitchen staff were moaning when we sent dishes back which was highly unprofessional. Overall it was a let down. Please do better for your next diners.

Came in on Monday with my partner, we was greeted with smile and once confirmed the booking we were taken to our table, didn't have to wait long till our waitress came over and introduced herself - belive Deanna is her name, very possibly new team member as we visit Miller and Carter Newbury Park quiet frequently. Very friendly, bubbly with great body language. She looked after us really well during our visit, couldn't fault it. Starters and mains were brilliant, highly recommended. Thank you

We were really excited to come here but we're hugely underwhelmed. The holding company for this chain own a wide variety of other chains including Browns, All Bar One and Toby Carvery. From the prices we were expecting Browns food and service levels, but we got Toby (which would be fine of you were paying 10.99). All four of us were underwhelmed with our food, and the service was so bad we thought we were in Faulty Towers. From the moment we stepped in where staff all just stared at us with no greeting, to them attempting to seat us next to a large, noisy party rather than any one of the other 30 empty tables, to being over charged and then having to argue about it... it was all really poor.We appreciate how hard it must be to find staff after covid and brexit but no one in the place seemed to know their menu, what deals they had on or the basics around customer service. The waitress clearly spoke poor English and so we had three occasions where the wrong item was brought out (we still laugh at me ordering a Bombay Bramble gin and getting a pint of Doom Bar beer). We tried to be as understanding as we could but it doesn't make for a great experience.The food was 'fine', but we honestly felt we could have got the same at the Toby down the road. They either need to lower their prices or raise their standards.
