Lovely bar and restaurant great place to have a drink and watch sports on the TV plus restaurant with amazing India food at very reasonable prices

Lady owner is aggresive and forceful. I was a regular at this place since Mr singh owned it. After my latest experience and reading the reviews i will not be coming back to this place. The lady owner has issues and is greedy for money, she charged us for a beer which was flat.

Best restaurant and customer service. Big thanks to the owners who are always there to give personalized service and accept the feedback. Always happy to visit this place.

My first review and unfortunatly a bad one... Agree to dave's review. This is the second bad experience i've had with her. First time i went in the afternoon and she was playing on the gambling machine. My friends rang the bell several times and she didn't take any notice. When i told her, she finished her game and then opened the door. She constantly pressures people for drinks and yes there was a fly in my collegues drink and she argued and charged us for a replacement. I was a regular till i moved out the area and uncle is a very nice man but his wife is a different story. She is very rude and very bossy, i spoke to a few regulars who i used to drink with and they have moved to other places because of the lady. I felt very embarassed in front of my boss and collegue as i recomended this place for our companies annual christmas dinner.

Disgusting behaviour from the landlady. My colleague Amarjit will write a detailed review. I have been to many restaurants but have never been treated this way. The landlady has an attitude and just wants to grab your money. How can one decide what they want to drink a minute after they arrive at a restaurant? She constantly pressured us to order a drink and when we found a fly in our drink she refused to change the drink. We had to pay for a replacement drink. We came with our boss to taste the food as we wanted to keep a company christmas dinner at gymkhana although the food was great the attitude is poor. Well done landlady you lost a christmas booking for around 30 people. *UPDATE* Ofcourse you will not agree because your so stuck up. We visited on 29th Nov around 5:30/6pm. You need to sell the place as you being the landlady are bad for business.

Like I said I have been going here since Mr Singh was the chef and been a regular patron for more than 15 years. This place is one of the best findings in London if not England itself! The food is superb and they have a “all you can eat” menu but cooked to order! The starter menu is where you will spend most of the time eating because everything is superb! But our fav has to be the lamb chops masala ❤️. We’ve been coming to Gymkhana for a few years now and never disappoints. Tonight we had the pleasure to be served by the lovely Kay; she was so friendly and kind to my daughter, made her feel special and made sure we left with a happy tummy!Thank you once again for the amazing culinary experience!

We had such fun! Just had our Christmas dinner, and everyone was on fire... Jokes after jokes! Ad the spiciness of the food was incredibly. It's like you are in India! Great food, nice decorations on plates.

I came from Toronto to visit the restaurant with the best curry and best service in town. I started coming 10 years ago and always come whenever I'm in London. It's worth the trip across the District Line (I was in Kew Gardens this afternoon but I decided to stay in Ilford just to have dinner at Gymkhana). I ordered lamb jalferezi and masala paneer with some plain rice and garlic naan. I washed it down with an ice cold pint of Cobra beer. I'm in heaven. Go now, thank me later!
