The Cuckfield in Redbridge

The nourish bowl was a real disappointment yesterday , literally the smallest main course you could imagine. Three of four spoonful's of food on a very small bed of lettuce. Although most tables being empty despite it being Mothers Day waitress wasn't about so ended up paying for the meal at the bar. The halloumi side of fires were ok though.

This is good pub, have had dinner here plenty of times and it's always been a nice experience. Worth travelling out of area for I'd say. From my most recent visit I can particularly reccomend the Korean fried chicken starter, my veggie wife liked her Rissoto, though I wasn't too fussed about my Pork Belly which was very dry. I'll put that down to bad luck as food here is usually faultless 🇰🇷 🐔🌟

The food was terrible. I had a Sunday roast and the potatoes were stone cold and we were amongst the first customers so I reckon they were old as well. My husband’s steak was sinewy and he was only able to eat less than a quarter. My son’s chicken was bone dry and he spat it out and refused to touch it.Our waitress was new and didn’t know the menu at all. It took us over 30 minutes to order (poor girl- management should have trained her before putting her on the floor). Paying the bill took another twenty! When I finally went to complain the manager didn’t seem to concerned and just gave me a disingenuous “All I can do is say I’m sorry”I definitely won’t be going back. We paid over £100 pounds to and none of us managed to eat more than half our meals.

As an animal lover I hate to say this but there must have been in excess of a dozen dogs in the restaurant. Some were better behaved than others, one actually jumped up at our table where we were eating, a lot of high pitched barking whenever yet another dog was bought in, sorry but unhygenic and unaccptable wont be back

I took a large group with one vegetarian, two coeliacs, a baby and a dog for a sunday roast and we recieved THE BEST service. Attentive staff, delicious food, beautiful, relaxing setting. Chloe personally took time out of her day to check the menu for allergens, speak to the kitchen about alterating the menu to fully accomodate a gluten free diet and make sure we were set up with a high chair and a table in the corner for the dog. Will definately be returning and recommending. Thank you to the whole team 10/10

Well located on Wanstead High Street with good selection of drinks. Food is a good standard for a pub with variety on the menu. I've hosted an event there and the staff were great. The conservatory area has nice natural light coming in. All round good pub.

Great food, great place, what's not to like. Service is a bit haphazard, but not bad. I really like the beer garden and the fireplace inside is quite lovely. I strongly recommend if you are in Wanstead. This is a nice place to chill and enjoy.

Good food but slightly slow to get drinks we had ordered online. Was glad to have gone here once I had my Sunday roast chicken arrived. Really tender meat. Really tasty.

Was there on Sunday with my girlfriend and her family and friends for the first time and it was great, great selection of beers, roast dinner was lovely. Worth the money paid for and we'll be back at some point! Staff was nice too, all round well done for making out first time there lovely!

Post-covid gem. It's quaint, it's hidden and it's inspired.Granted my standards and expectations are lapse by a year or more, but this felt nice.The dishes are gastro-pub like but could be better.Overall all the little issues are going to get worked out by more business.Glad to see things open up again.
