The Great Spoon of Ilford in Redbridge

It's ok. You only go here for the cheap drinks. Always get weirdos approaching you trying to be your friend and tell you about what happened 50 years ago.Toilets are reasonably clean compared to other Wetherspoons I've been too.They have sold out of spirits while I'm there on many occasions.The decor is very dated but like I said, you only really go here for cheap drinks.

Possibly the management put the emphasis on staffing the evening trade, we called for lunch and there was just one person manning the bar and dealing with lunch orders. Slow service such as this is tolerated as their meal and drink specials are just under their main competitors prices, portion sizes are smaller than Brewers Fayre and Sizzlers in the same price range. The dining area was comfortable and on a very hot day, well ventilated. There is no car park, no local parking and just to add to the access misery the bus stop opposite and along the road to the pub are closed due to some extensive building work in the immediate area.

Its a wetherspoons... food acceptable,.service good. Apologised for not having the wine i ordered in stock and replacement bought.Please fix the squeaky door... its a noise which sets teeth on edge.

Usual Witherspoon's venue.At the time of my visit only 2/3 ales on. Nice and cool inside venue on one of the hottest days of the year.Venue appears to have had new carpet throughout recently! A few seats outside at the front, where one can breathe in the exhaust fumes and watch the "locals" in action!Think there's also a small outside drinking area at the rear too.

Great prices, great selection of drinks & food and great prices...Tradional Wetherspoons, with lovely service!!!

First time visiting this Pub. Very nice classic decor, latge floorspace, bookshelf decorated booths made for a very pleasant lunchtime break. Busy friendly bar/kitchen staff. Located very close to Valentines Park.

Super friendly and polite staff.Oddly the extra bacon I added to my hot burger seemed to have come from the fridge which was a surprising contrast.

Love the place and vibe! They have a wide variety of cider and beer choices. I like that some of their meals include an alcoholic drink which is very rare to see. Overall, great place.

A beautiful looking pub, an old police station in fact. Lovely wood panelled walls, little nooks etc. My beer was exceptional, no problem serving it in an old fashioned handled jug. Top marks, will see me again; so I can test the food ...

After our induction day today, we decided to go to this place, instead of ordering food. It was a nice experience in a nice atmosphere. The staffs were kind and they helped us to find the right meals providing options. Liked their mini libraries in the boxes. They have nice pictures on their walls. My meal was well presented (… as you can see in one of my pictures.) … and I found out, they have gardens for smokers and non smokers too.
