The Old Maypole in Redbridge

Have visited the pub many, many times and can't say a bad word! The staff is absolutely amazing always there to keep us happy and helpful when needed. Last few months the place have improved tremendously the food is wicked and atmosphere just right!! Would recommend for anyone who wants to have a good night out. Thanks guys!

We had a large order, with couple of fussy eaters. Staff were so helpful and friendly! The chief did an amazing job! Everything was correct, hot and tasted delicious. Thank you for a great evening and fabulous meal

Had a meeting here and we ordered the buffet, great value for money and really tasty. Antonio and the team could not do enough for us. Would recommend this venue for meetings or functions. Top marks.👍🏻

Such a shame that this pub is now a dissapointment. The food menu was half empty with most items UNAVAILABLE. Also the place looks very grubby and the hygiene is substandard. The mens toilet was not a place worth visiting as it looked like something from a 3rd world country! I really hope that their management take note of these comments because otherwise it will continue to get worse! The only positive comment i can make is that the staff were great!

Nice old pub. Nice large open setting inside. Round Booths and tables available.Lots to choose from on menu, vegan options also available.Food was lovely, we went as a work group of colleagues, around 12 of us, all enjoyed our food, no complaints from anyone. There was a slight delay in some of the food coming out but the bar staff who bought our food over, offered us a complimentary bottle of wine to compensate for the delay without us even asking. So all in all it was a very enjoyable experience.

Very unprofessional staff.No friendly at all.I ordered a food and after 45mins I asked why such a delay they told me that they don't have in stock my food. None of them informed me.I re ordered but instead of pay the difference they told me that they have to refund my money 1st, which will take couple of days and also i needed to have my bank card with me (I paid with Google Pay).Apart fron that I pre prebook a table online with a note that we are going for the football game. I also called afterwards to make sure that we will have the right table.Unfortunately they gave us a table at the wrong side of the venue which there is no sound on the screens.We were waiting 45mins till the game started and when we compliant about the sound the told us (with a very rude way) we have to move to the sports section if we need sound.They knew the reason we are going and they gave us a wrong table.Genius!!

Absolute joke of a place, Family of 4 arrived at 7.30pm asked if still doing food and was told yes until 9pm. Purchased a drink, sat down to look at the menu. Went to order at 7.50ish and was told no food as the kitchen will close at 8pm because they were quiet.There is a reason they was quiet and that is because they have no idea what they are doing.Regular customer who will not be going back. No wonder the pubs are disappearing with service like that.Update, Got contacted by sizzling pubs apologising and spoke to the manager who was apologetic and asked if we would give them a chance to put things right, He said he would send a voucher and make sure we were given the service he expected his staff to give. Bit of a joke as never followed up on the promises. Just confirms the 1 star review left originally was spot on.Never mind, Time to find a new local.

Nice place. Good service and nice vibe. Would definitely visit again.

Very good value for money. Mixed grill with Ribeye steak and excellent pint of real ale for under £20. Happy friendly service would recommend the Old Maypole to everyone
