Toby Carvery in Redbridge

The food was excellent as always but the staff... the waiter couldn't wait for us to leave and kept pushing us with that. The moment we walked in he offered us to take away the food, we said we want to eat in, then he said that the kitchen will close in 10min so we ordered desserts before hand (ended up taking them away with us anyway as he brought plastic containers while we were still eating mains), then he kept saying that he need to close the section we were sitting in and repeatedly asked us to pay as he needed to close the till while we still had food in our mouths!!! Very disappointed!!! So if you want to have a nice time with your loved ones that's Not the place!! I wouldn't recommend it!! Only if you want to feel unwelcome and pay for it in a middle of your meal

Staff are friendly enough, however the food is pretty horrible. The stuffing was brought out uncooked and had to be put back in the oven, the roast potatoes are either too hard or not crispy enough, and the gravy is disgusting! Overall I'd say this is the worst carvery I've eaten in and wouldn't recommend at all

Food had probably been under the lights a while , but we did arrive late morning, so to be expected. You can get more than one serving which is great! Sunny day so we sat outside in the sun, which was fantastic. The Manager was super helpful and friendly. Price for breakfast is very reasonable. Register your car when u park so you dont get charged. We will definitely be back.

Really enjoyed my lovely Sunday best. My up most favourite meal of the week. This particular week I got to go Toby.I only ever have the 2 meats with most trimmings. I always go for the XL plate so I can have a little of what I want so it's not in a heap, I couldn't eat if my plate is piled up, I like it to be flat. On the plus side you get sausages with that and an extra Yorkshire if you want it.You can go up for extra trimmings at Toby but I have never ever had room to go up for seconds.Look forward to my next treat.

A great improvement since our last visit.The staff have always been friendly and helpful and this time the lady carvers smiled, the beef was excellent.Plus the help yourself vegetables, were hot and freshly cooked.On previous other visits,the male carving staff never smiled. They carved the chewy beef so thin and gave the impression they were doing you a favour.Plus the vegetables were uninviting ,over cooked and just warm.

We had another great visit to the Toby in Woodford. Everything about our visit was lovely, food was great and the staff were wonderful which they always are. There is a great team of people working there, always polite and friendly making the visit so much more enjoyable.

In the area... so... popped in for Breaki...it was 10am.... its a buffet breakfast on a hot plate with heated lamps... unfortunately most items had dried out with excessive heat..!!??..Apparently items are put out at 8am... replenished as used up??... so not for me thanks...quite disappointing

A tale of two carveries: greeted by a scruffy looking man, who would easily have passed for a builder and to whom, I brought attention to the dirty knife and fork on my table, to which he replied "This one's a bit better".- not really inspiring confidence! Some staff were dressed in uniform others not, making it difficult to tell whether they were serving or being served. Overall, staff presentation was poor. On the other hand, staff on the carvery counter were highly professional and knowledgeable. The meat section was outstanding but contrasted violently with the poor presentation and mediocre quality of vegetables. However, the place was busy and no shortage of diners suggesting that customers were prepared to overlook these shortcomings. If the management were to address these issues, then this restaurant could easily be transformed into a first class venue.

I want a full refund for my recent order food was not hot on arrival hard roast potatoes Yorkshire puddings as for the beef it looked like it was left overs from someone’s plate just fatty no meat then was told it’s the drivers fault. Why did he cook the food and dish it up as well sort it out ur gonna lose more customers.

Tried ordering from them through Uber Eats as my family and I were craving pub food. Ordered around 17:30. Estimated arrival was 18:45 at the latest but we ended up waiting for 2 hours, until they decided to cancel our order! The staff at the restaurant were very unhelpful when we called them up and we were left very hungry and annoyed. I understand weekends are busy but sort yourself out for goodness’ sake
