Faanoos - Richmond in Richmond upon Thames

This restaurant used to provide a good service with reasonable food. I just took out four meals last weekend home but I was much disappointed. The quality has degraded, and quantity was not up to how it was in the past. I requested to put the rice aside from Kebabs, which they kindly did so but when I got home I realized they had put together four portions of the rice into two containers and to me that was equivalent to three portions rather four. When called the restaurant they kindly appreciated the feedback and offered complimentary dishes next time but refused to deliver what I paid for on the day when I had guests at home and the excuse was they had no-one to deliver! Such a disappointment. Overall, Jujeh was good but Kubideh was lower than expectations. I’m not sure if I buy from here again unless there is a step change in quality of the meal and services.

I’ve used Fanoos plenty of times since it Opened. Eating in is good. But take away can be a problem if you use Deliveroo. Etc. Iordered lamb filet which was over cooked, dry and chewy. I’ve had much better lamb up the road at the kebab shop. Plus I ordered a baclava which they forgot to put in the bag . When i called to tell them I was told I had to drive back with the food or call the owner on a mobile!!! And ask him to assist. What a joke customer service this is. When I called back I was told they’d call the police if I didn’t stop calling. I will be going in tomorrow for a refund. Very disappointing. I’ve used this place loads over the last years.

Went here for a family reunion. We were a group of 11, so we took up half the restaurant. It is a cosy place, but not cramped. The food and service was good. Most of us went for the Persian classic of chelo kebabs and rice. I love the way they make the thin bread in the large stove.

I go to this restaurant often! This is the best place to have a bite. I go to this spot routinely. The food is fantastic, the team is welcoming and the prices are affordable. I like eating in this spot for a good dinner.

I simply enjoyed their food. I always get excellent customer service here. The place is neat and the employees are always super nice. I highly recommend this place.

Definitely won’t recommend this place.It’s been one of our favourite restaurant for the past two years until today. The lamb was way TOO SALTY and the chicken was SO TASTELESS AND DRY. We ordered some garlic bread and it was cold and NO garlic taste/smell at all, we even thought it was the plain bread that sent to the wrong table.Informed the staff and they just simply said that ‘but it just came out from oven!’ We insisted him to touch the bread (cos it’s really cold). And he just took the bread away, not even a ‘ sorry’ or ‘I’ll change one for you’.Won’t come here again.

Best persian restaurant in London. Lovely atmosphere. The food is always great, very tasty and reasonably priced. We love the fresh bread made in front of you in the stone oven. Nice staff and fast service. New manager is very warm and friendly and knows a lot about persian food and history. Definitely recommend it!

Heard about This Restaurant from Someone and tried it today, Food is Tasty and service is also good. Fresh Clay-Oven Bread is nice to have with Humus.Restaurant has historic touch in its atmosphere. Overall good experience!!!

Great Place to go with friends and family. The staff are polite, friendly and really make you feel welcome. The food is cooked fresh and taste amazing. Been going to fanoos for number of years now and never once been disappointed.

A great Turkish restaurant in Upper Richmond Road. Very friendly / respectful staff. The interior decoration is quite unique and attractive. We had Lamb skewed meals with saffron rice and salad and some naan. Their food is very flavorsome and large in portions. Pricing is very reasonable a meal only cost us £8.50. The waiting time is well under 10 minutes. You can either sit inside or sit outside. The view and restaurant is very cozy. Washroom is quite compact and hot, also cleanliness of it can be further improved. I recommend this place to any who seeks a delicious Turkish meal. Thanks.
