Really lovely roast and pub garden. Service was a little slow but it was a busy day

I popped into this pub at 1pm on Sunday on a cycle ride I asked for a guiness and a lager. A guy, clearly drunk, then said "say please" I ignored him as I am polite, and would have thanked the barmaid when paying. He then started threatening me, said "I had better go to the beer garden before I flatten someon" a gent from another table came over and ask him to stop. I should remind the manager it is illegal, not just good form, but illegal to serve drunk people. After I was served this guy, clearly drunk, was then served another pint, despite the barmaid witnessing what had happened. Disgusting. No doubt a "sorry your experience was not etc etc etc" reply to follow, if a reply follows at all.

I went for lunch. The food is nice but expensive compared to similar places in Richmond or Kingston. The pub had introduced table service and a service charge has been introduced on food orders and accompanying drinks, even though I ordered at the bar. Service is very efficient and friendly though

·

Very nice and welcoming neighborhood pub, well above average food, with Ham Common to the front and a fantastic and welcoming beer garden to thd back

In a word excellent! Fabulous food, best pub lunch I've had in ages: 'Dirty Fries' totally recommended. Mum had the Fish & Chips, a child's portion, still too much for her to finish & my hubby the Shepherds Pie, which he was delighted with.Pints of Adnams & a Coke for Mum completed our lunch experience, one that we will most certainly do again. Our complements to the staff.Next time, we'll make sure Mum brings her purse with her!

Lovely traditional pub, situated next to Ham Common and close to Richmond Park. This family run pub offered up a great selection of beers and ales as well as a nice food menu. The staff were great and very attentive, and the food arrived quickly. The portion was generous and the food overall was nicely presented and tasty

·

Lovely fish and chips and good ale, you might need to tell them if your beer is the first out of the pump (or near the last as the lovely girls didn't quite get it, so my first beer had to go back, but the staff were lovely and a good meal

Fantastic pub, visited on a very rainy Tuesday, they only had one or two free tables which is always a good sign to me. Lovely and warm, had a nice little table for 2 next to a radiator!Great main menu as well as lunch menu and also a specials board. All the staff were friendly, plenty of choice of drinks too.Food was great, really tasty and also nice and hot! Quick service.Would highly recommend and will absolutely be visiting again and taking more of the family.

Great bar staff, good beer on draught and good food. Fantastic garden. Having a beer here is a must if you're passing through Ham.

Used be a great pub with good food, but after lock down the food has gone drastically downhill. Just had this burger today and nearly went it back. Having lived in the area for over 10 years we will stop coming here until they sort out food.
