No customer service, lady at the counter was rude not friendly at all. Food was not nice, chips soggy. Definitely will not be coming here again. Way to pricey for their food.

It's ok; I ate in & the haddock was freshly cooked but the batter was a bit like armour plate - not the way! Crisp! Chips fantastic, crisp on the outside & soft within.Think they are still growing back after the lockdowns but staffe need to be bouncy, smiley & friendly with a sarcastic wit! That's the way in good old Yorkshire!

I've ordered from this place via Deliveroo. The "large haddock" was in fact a large hard piece of overly fried batter. The fish within was the thinnest sliver of dried out, thrice fried, old piece of nastiness. It appears as if this was a leftover piece of fish that was at least a day old. They must've just taken it, redunked the old battered fish into fresh batter and refried the entire piece of utter hopeless wretchedness for an hour. Not saying that that is what happened but that is what it seems like. It is now in the bin where it belongs. Not at all fit for human consumption.

The quality of this establishment cannot be overstated. I am new to the area, in fact to the United Kingdom, and this may be the best fish and chips I have ever had. The fish is fresh and I did not suffer the regret that usually follows a meal of fried seafood. Staff were friendly and, while I did not try the local delicacy of curry sauce, the meal paired nicely with homemade pickles and salsa.

Sadly, I can only give this a 1 star rating. I have been here on three occasions so didn’t feel I should make a judgment on one visit. On more than one occasion I have experienced appalling customer service. The female staff can be argumentative and on the first occasion which was a Good Friday so you would expect it to busy. The older lady was being quite rude , bellowing at customers all the while trying deal with food couriers who were also queuing out the door. I put that down to a particularly busy night. Tonight, however, my wife wanted to pay part cash and part debit card. The woman again made a right fuss and it took the older man to intervene to say that would be fine.FoodThe cod and chips have been fine but tonight I ordered mince and onion pie and when I brought I home it was so dry and Dehydrated the what should’ve been moist mince meat inside was just a dry husk and completely inedible and went straight in the bin.I think three visits is good enough to give it a review and based on that we won’t be going back again.

First time at this fish and chip shop.Parking is a bit of a nightmare but there are about a dozen bays in Crown road.No seating outside, not sure if that's the norm or because of the current situation but even if there was seating outside I wouldn't want to sit there as you have the very noisy and busy St Margaret's road outside.Fish was cooked fresh to order and the batter was lovely and light, not so sure about the chips though.ÂŁ19 for two plates of cod and chips and two hot drinks. If I was in the area I would use again.

Nice fish and chips takeaway. Always prepared after ordering and tastes freshly done. Chips is also nice which is important for us. Someone commented that there is no customer service and they are not the friendliest behind the till but we've haven't experienced this. We've been coming here for 3 years and it always tastes great. So it is 5 star from us.

Ordered takeaway - it took a very long time (even went over their estimated maximum minutes) and sadly my piece of fish was brutally overcooked, the batter not even edible. Has the place changed hands? This is the second time an item in our meal was less than pleasant.

Decided to order cod and fish as we went past following a long wall by the Thames. We had to order and wait 10mins but at least it was fresh and crispy when we ate it! All in all a decent order experience without any hassle.Go for large portions. Fish was good and large side of chips. Good to have it in the area!

As a regular visitor to this fish and chip establishment I can say that the fish is really good and fresh and chips too. Portions are large and all well cooked. I have never experienced anything but courteously from the staff. It may be a little more expensive than other fish & chip shops but well worth it.
