Thai Upon Thames in Richmond upon Thames

The pad Thai is absolutely vile. It has a weird chemical taste to it like it’s been soaked in benzene. I had to bin it.

Thank you for cozy environment and friendly service staff;) also meals were very tasty..

The place was fantastic,quality food,reasonably priced,my only advice is don't be sat by the door as we was,constantly opening with all the delivery drivers picking up take away,did have notice on the door outside saying pick up point here,no one listened,staff didn't tell them either(disappointing)over all I would return again

The portions get smaller and smaller everytime we order from here. The food is delicious but spending £60 for three people is not worth it when we're not full after our meal

I was going to Thai Upon Thames on the last evening of my parents' visit. The service was very good, we were served by a very friendly waiter, who understood our food preferences and also concerns about potentially too spicy cuisine. The served food was very tasty and the atmosphere was nice!

I ordered food fromThis place as a take away last Saturday on my break and work. I ordered chicken satay skewers, red Thai Curry and Sticky rice. I ended up with food poisoning, the red curry was more like yellow curry and was not the best, I didn’t even it all I threw it in the bin anyway before I felt Ill. I had to leave work early as I was Ill with the food and because I work in hospitality I had to be off work for 48 hours because of the diarrhoea. Therefore not only did I get sick but also lost pay. I complained to Deliveroo about this and they just said sorry and said we will refund you the money you paid and they would contact the restaurant. Up until now I haven’t heard back from Deliveroo or the restaurant. I think when hospitality especially has been hit hard from the pandemic we need to try and keep customers and put things right. I am very disappointed with the restaurant as well as Deliveroo.

They refused to deliver to me citing that the delivery driver said 'I was too far away' - I live 2 miles away from the restaurant and their menu says 'Delivery free within 2 miles.' The women on the phone agreed with me that this was silly but that there was nothing she could do as the delivery driver refused to go. Aweful service.

I enjoyed the food, the presentation and the lovely atmosphere, they stayed open and waited for us even though it was late and welcomed us very warmly. I will be visiting again when I'm next in Richmond.

Ordered their food through Deliveroo and it turned out to be quite disappointing especially the Tom Yum soup. It’s just basically a soup with some Shrimps on it and mushroom and that’s it. Not a lot of vegetables.

Very tasty food. Really like the venue. It's cosy and relaxed. Will come here again :D
