The Brown Dog in Richmond upon Thames

have been going to this pub since it openedgave it a miss for a year or went last june waitress SO rude we left.New owners last year ? last night gave it another go - the wines by the glass undrinkableso bought a bottle of very basic Macon £ 55 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! which was off( agreed by staff) food mediocre , fish & chips ( how hard can it be ) all batter little fish- will not go there again

Great pub, small and the staff are always very welcoming. Good beers and choice from the menu, a loveplace, well worth a visit.

A gem of a pub in Barnes. Locally owned with a lovely in house brown dog ale! All the food we had was delicious, and everyone working was very friendly. Definitely one we will be back to when my parents visit again!

What a find!!!!! Was looking for a venue for lunch and the booking facility on the website said there was no availability so I made a call. They were more than happy to accommodate us and a dog. It is the most wonderful venue and they are soooooooo dog friendly, the food is absolutely divine, the venue is gorg, the clientele are lovely and staff amazing - a big shout out to Marley who was THE best! Thank you so much for making our day. We shall be back!

Very good and friendly, reliable. Great hamburgers! Good local pub.

Screaming children and useless parents lead to a difficult atmosphere in which to eat a meal. Avoid weekend after noon and early evening. Menu also not what it was.

2.12.2020It's open again!After a second lockdown the BD finally reopened. Serving pizza 5-7 and normal meal. (you can still do take away)It's so nice to see life back in the old dog. Food was superb......................................................................This has been my local for many years. I have taken visitors for meals, met up with friends. The food has always been excellent, the staff are friendly and welcoming. It has an out door garden. Dogs and kids welcomed. The Brown dog has recently changed hands, but they will still have their famous hog roast at Barnes fair.

Gorgeous Saturday lunch here. Such a great family gastro pub experience. The food was delicious as was the wine. The kids menu was also great and my son wolfed down his spag bowl. Quite an expensive lunch, but I’m sure we’ll be back for a special occasion on when we’re feeling generous. I give it 4stars as service could have been a little bit tighter, we were left waiting wanting more wine a couple of times.

A fantastic pub with great stuff. A lovely mix of young and old. And plenty of space for dogs. The food is sublime. The menu constantly changes and makes use of seasonal ingredients. They have a small but tasty selection of beers including their very own Ale.
