The Foresters in Richmond upon Thames

Really lovely pub just outside the main hub of Kingston and very close to both Bushy and Home parks. Dog allowed in the bar area, not in the restaurant area. Quite busy on a Saturday lunch time, but managed to find a seat and the staff were really friendly and helpful. The waitress was lovely and managed the rush well.The food was good - we had fish and chips and the vegan burger. The fish was a little overcooked, but still very good, and the vegan burger had lots of avocado and was delicious. The chips were great! Food came out quickly, despite the place being busy.It is a little pricey, but prices have risen everywhere, so they are in line with most other places.Will definitely come back to this pub when I'm in the area.

Best pub ever. Great atmosphere, excellent service, cosy interior, how many superlatives are there?? Best of all it’s extremely dog friendly whereby my dog pulls me into the pub so how can I refuse him!!

Nice looking place but lunchtime definitely less special than it used to be. Adequate pub food but it used to be special. We came away saying probably not go again.

Best beef roast I've ever had. Ribeye roast is amazing, beer good, nice atmosphere and nice stuff. Highly recommended.

Had been looking forward to going, having read many great reviews, but was disappointed. Roast beef was lovely, but not very hot; my husband told the young man that cleared our plates that his lamb wasn't great, really chewy, and his response was, "yeah, I don't like chewy meat either!". No, but he wasn't about to part with £17 for a Sunday roast. Nice cocktails and good wine, nice vibe too, but don't think we'll be rushing back

Not overly impressed. Good music and nice atmosphere. Looked promising. Food took 55 minutes to arrive. Asked twice where it was. One waitress answered “it’s coming” without even an apology and made me feel like I shouldn’t be asking. Another table were apologised to at least four times for having to wait for their food and got their meals on the house. Kids chips were covered in salt so had to wipe them all down. No kids menu but they did cater for my son’s food allergies. So overall ok but could have been better.

Meal was very disappointing I had the vegan burger. Menu stated that with the vegan burger included avocado, I had two small slithers of avocado but instead Rocket shoved in the bap, I hate Rocket no onion it was tasteless it came with a few chips in a small steel basket and they charged £14 what a rip off.Tried to fill up on the pudding again disappointingCoffee was so weakAlso we waited ages for service they appeared to be short staffedIt wasnt just me that felt so disappointed, my sister who I was with asked for some more of the sauce that came with the chicken supreme she had ordered, by the time it came she had eaten all she wanted of the meal. She did say she had been in there before and was satisfied that time.Really regretted going in there

Cosy and inviting. Me and my partner visited on cold wintry day, sat by the fire and had some of their bone marrow burgers, which were probably one of the best burgers I've tasted in the past few years - 100% recommend!

Really lovely cosy pub, great ales and delicious Sunday roast. The beef was divine (so tender and juicy) all the trimmings were delicious and a lovely big Yorkshire pud as well. Cauliflower cheese and sprouts with bacon and chestnuts available as sides are definitely an added bonus. My partner had the nut roast which was deemed excellent.Very attentive and friendly service too. We'll be back for many roasts to come, and I've recommended to anyone who'll listen.

A fab pub in a good location.A solid selection of beers and good gastropub food. The atmosphere is very chilled, but busy enough to make it interesting.The staff are also very lovely.The only reason it's a four is because of its location. Being slightly outside of the main Kingston and Teddington strips it is a little walk and there are a lot of lovely pubs in the area.
