The Palace Pavillion at Kew in Richmond upon Thames

Fantastic food, excelent vegetarian and vegan options, I really didn't expect that. Staff was very friendly and helpful despite being very busy, particularly Mariola who took her time to advise us on our choices. My kids loved the food as well and they can be a bit fussy sometimes:)Highly recommended.

Had to wait a long time for food and unfortunately wasn’t told by the bar staff how long it would take, but after a chat with the manager who informed me that he had asked staff to tell customers the wait time he understood that the wait was too long especially with two children and issued us with a partial refund and some hot drinks to take away. The food was very nice despite the wait and the manager was very understanding and meant we left in a much better mood than we would have done.

Very polite staff . We ordered a bottle of rose. It was put on a tray and I was asked if I wanted glasses. I enquired if they had an ice bucket. As by the time we would have got to the last glasses it would have been warm and at £35 we would prefer it cold . There were no ice buckets . We ended up with a large ice-cream tub with ice . With the Pavilion being on the higher end for prices. I'm sure they have the funds to invest in a few ice buckets . Disappointing.

Won't let me review the cafe behind the children's playground so I guess this one will have to hold the review, food was overpriced and the coffee from the coffee machine was foul. That was not a mocha, had better coffee on a prison visit! Not cool guys, not cool.

I was very skeptical having read bad reviews and seeing the 3.8 Google score. But in fact we really enjoyed it and if it were not for the massive waiting time (about 15min in the queue and then 30min for food, on a Saturday) I would have given it a 5/5.Menu is vegan friendly, I personally tried the celeriac burger which was interesting and good. The chicken seemed good and the veggies offer a lighter option. Most dishes come with a choice of one or two sides (a la Nandos). My only critic is to charge 20£ for a Beyond Meat burger is ridiculous! We are trying to encourage people to eat plant-based not discourage them by charging you twice the price for plant-based!There is plenty of places to sit down, inside and outside and given that this restaurant is the furthest away from the main gates, I’d say it’s probably the least busy (?!).Finally you can enjoy free filtered water, there is a ketchup/mayo/condiment spot and the toilets were clean.

The burger was absolutely horrible. The meat quality was 0/10 and there is quite a lot of disgusting relish sauce on the bun and the burger as you can see on the photos!

Great service and good food.Ordered grilled chicken and hamburger.Willing to revisit again.

This place is very expensive for what you get, and I wouldn’t generally recommend it if you’re looking for value for your money.The burger was okay, but the chips reminded me of the chips you get in school canteens. The chip portion was also quite small. The flat white coffee was nice, as was the chocolate chip cookie. The lemon cake was absolutely delicious.Once ordered, the food came out very quickly. However, the queue was excessively long. There was only one till open to begin with and they were quite slow with taking orders and there wasn’t enough menus to go around.The location is obviously lovely though, but they didn’t seem prepared for the rain or the queues that came with it.

Staff need to check dates on food. Jam pot yesterday was three days out of date. My cream pot was only half full and I went back to staff manager and told her. She opened it too, exchanged it and put the twice opened and breathed on cream pot back in the fridge. Is this the hygiene standard? Otherwise cafe friendly and pleasant.

One of the more versatile restaurants here at Kew Gardens. The fish I tried was kind of bland however the side dishes more than made up for it which came with the main. There is indoor and outdoor eating areas, the outdoor area is very spacious and aesthetically pleasing. Does get busy at lunch time.
