The Railway in Richmond upon Thames

It's a typical pub by a train station - the usual beverages, a fair amount of space although it gets busy when there's sports coverage, as the screens are big and plentiful here.I give it four stars purely because I like watching sport in the pub, and they show boxing too. Ambience and prices get a solid three.

We came for a staff reunion and we were served by Darren and another amazing lady behind the bar. They took great care of us and the whole place had such a fun atmosphere! Can't wait to go back 🥂

We had a fantastic Mother’s Day. The staff are so welcoming and friendly, the food was great, mam loved her fish and chips as did I enjoy my beef pie. The food wasn’t fast but the staff did let us know before we ordered and it was still quicker than they had said. I really enjoyed dropping it before we went to Richmond Theatre, if we are ever back in the area we will certainly come back again.

I drink here every Friday after work and often get lunch during the week. John is a gentleman and it’s great to see him having a pint there on a Friday. Darren is a fun guy and always welcomes us. The staff are great, they always know your drink and take a minute to say hi even when it’s busy. It’s a great pub and gets better the more you get to know it.

Brilliant spot. Had a group party here with my work friends. From making the booking with Darren through to the hosting by Remy to the service by Larry and Emily I simply couldn’t fault it. I’ll be back as they said it’s a great place to meet for Rugby. Looking forward to it.

Great to be back since restrictions are lifted. It’s great to see this pub busy again too, my boyfriend loves watching matches here but even then it still isn't a rowdy “lads, lads, lads” atmosphere.Great place.

Great place, great service with a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. Surprising rage of scotch which was nice and very decent real cider on hand pull. Can’t really say much negative other than the floor needed a bit of work and a window was boarded up but all in all a good boozer that could do with a facelift.

Nice atmosphere and spacious seating. The award winning pies are really good and worth a visit.

I posted up here Saturday and enjoyed every minute. Food was served well and fairly quick given the amount of bodies in, I’d say 25 minutes tops. The beer was decent and well kept. I’d bet it’s a good spot for sport but there were no games on this week.All in all I’d recommend and return.

Definitely the best bar in Richmond. The staff are very friendly and professional. Not to pricey considering the area...especially with their happy hour deal. A double G&T was only £6!!! Very happy with the food too. I'd ordered the fish and chips.. Was presented beautifully and tasted even better. I will definitely back soon. 100% recommend!
