A quaint little place if not a little run down though has the charm of a spot that the staff care about. It’s populated by mostly commuters and a few locals. I did see a couple having something of a domestic in the garden but credit to the staff (maybe manager?) they addressed it quickly and efficiently. The price is ok, very reasonable for Richmond but the area in general is overpriced which anyone who frequents the area will attest. The Railway seems to lean into offers and I was lucky enough to avail of a gin & tonic and an Amstel for under £10 which was a surprise. All in all it’s a great and proper pub experience in an otherwise drab area little red with cafes, banks and vape shops.

Staff polite & friendly, but unable to assist. My husband & I were attending The Carpenters' Story at Richmond Theatre & had planned to have a meal before-hand. Unfortunately the only gluten free meal on the menu was the Chicken & Chorizo, which was sold out. I was directed to their G.F starters: Padron Peppers, House Cooked Nachos, Mini Chorizos & Loaded Triple Fried Chips, I selected the latter, whilst my husband chose Fish & Chips: both were pleasing enough. I find it extremely disappointing that in 2022 in a large establishment in Richmond upon Thames that I was unable to sit down & enjoy a relaxed pre-theatre early evening meal with my husband. We won't be returning.

Really convenient NICOLSONS (not Spoons!) sorry Darren and team I got that wrong, next to Richmond railway station. Great beer selection for all tastes as is standard. Well worth a visit if you're arriving or before heading off. Great location.

Really excellent little pub. Was looking for a handy place to watch the end of the season games and found here by chance. They had 3 games on live which was appreciated.Really enjoyed the place and will make a stop next time in West London.

Nice boozer feel to it though drinks prices on the higher size. Won't ever be o neills but a tough ask to follow in all honesty. Would pop in again if around the area

Staff were alright but a bit disorganised. For simple meals of burger, pie, and fish & chips, it took them 1 hour and 20 minutes to serve our food. The pub was quite empty then so I can't see how they'd mess that up.They pour a nice pint but food quality was just okay. The burger patties were dry, but taste was nicely balanced. I expected a lot from the steak pie as it said it had won awards, but I've had better at random London pubs. On the other, the fish had a delicate batter and was well seasoned. The chips were slightly overcooked but tasty.

Good staff good vibe but poor and expensive food. Got myself a 10quid nachos but it is so softened like baby skin. A new pack of Doritos will be better than that. If you are watching games there just go for the drinks but probably not the best idea to go for the food.

It's a typical pub by a train station - the usual beverages, a fair amount of space although it gets busy when there's sports coverage, as the screens are big and plentiful here.I give it four stars purely because I like watching sport in the pub, and they show boxing too. Ambience and prices get a solid three.

We had a fantastic Mother’s Day. The staff are so welcoming and friendly, the food was great, mam loved her fish and chips as did I enjoy my beef pie. The food wasn’t fast but the staff did let us know before we ordered and it was still quicker than they had said. I really enjoyed dropping it before we went to Richmond Theatre, if we are ever back in the area we will certainly come back again.

We came for a staff reunion and we were served by Darren and another amazing lady behind the bar. They took great care of us and the whole place had such a fun atmosphere! Can't wait to go back 🥂
