The Sun Inn in Richmond upon Thames

Great pub for rugby and set up. Very disappointed with staff. I asked for food around 7pm. I'd been there since 2pm. Initially they said yes, then no, food was finished. An hour later they took food to the table next to us. So we went to get a burger from outside and staff threatened to kick us out. By this point we'd been in pub 8 hours spending money on food and drink. Good pub overall, but this wasn't their finest moment.

Nice pub that has good selection of beers that are kept very well. London pride was great and I hear the other beers were also good. I tried the lunch special chilli it was ok. Tasted nice enough but absolutely no chilli heat to it.

Quality beer quality grub and friendly service. The Six Nations burger choices are great. I had Ireland burger nice beef patty. My mate had welsh spicy lamb burger. ESB and Guinness was top notch pint.

Great rugby pub, bar was busy however the staff were friendly and service was good. Great selection of ales and the food offering was of a high standard one of my favourite haunts on a rugby day 👍🍺🏉

One of the last few traditional style pubs left in Richmond. Not for crowded rugby days if you do not like the big loud rugby crowds. This is my local pub. Friendly customers, staff and the managers.

This pub is a real hidden gem. It is down a passage over the road to Richmond tube. Rugby memorabilia adorns the pub and there is a large dining area towards the rear which double up as sports viewing with big screens. The bar area has a few cosy alcoves and is very homely. The reason for 4 stars rather than 5 is that the food availability was inconsistent with the information on the web page. I had gone there specifically as part of my 7 leg tour of Fuller's pubs, to eat this Saturday and was looking forward to the liver and mash. When asking, the member of staff was dismissive so I didn't challenge but it did disappoint. Another journey was then made to have dinner at another Fuller's pub. The pint of Pride here (The Sun) was very good and the service otherwise was courteous and friendly.

Lovely pub with a nice atmosphere! The staff were super, very cheerful and efficient! All of our party were happy with their choices of drinks, my choice of several pints of the Darkstar Hophead was enjoyed greatly by myself!

Great pub, especially for a few beers before the rugby at Twickenham. Staff were great and served everyone very quickly in a packed pub. Will return again!

The Sun is an easy going old pub - a regular set of bench warmers during the day and gets a bit more lively of an evening.The food is simple but pretty damn good - the lunch time special of a Pie and chips for £4.95 is a bargain and is basically epic.The whole bar is coated in Rugby jerseys and photos plus there is a big screen for sport.The staff are great - nothing is too much trouble and it is always a relaxed place for a pint.The interior is.. well its like you've gone back in time a couple of decades but it manages some kind of charm.
