We had an enjoyable time here - the food and the staff were all lovely. I really liked the open kitchen concept. However, we felt that some of the food were rather heavy - especially the mains, which we felt had too much stuff going on (but perhaps it's because we aren't that used to modern British food). Although i must say, the wine was amazing.Note: we came here in end February

Iconic bermondsey deli and restaurant. They have the best sandwiches here if you go at lunchtime.First time went for dinner and the quality is 10/10. Awesome organic wine selection.Very friendly staff ❤️

Accidently went here (I googled Russian restaurants on Maps and this came up, it's not Russian!). Delicious food - the onion tart is delicious as is the leak fritters! Very reasonably priced for the quality, nice selection of wines though only one beer (but it is nice!). The staff were really friendly and attentive and the location has excellent design and atmosphere. You can't ask for more, a delicious surprise.

As you cannot reserve, waiting outside wasn't a great start though the great wine selection helped to shorten the wait. We ordered a cheese plate with the wine and were underwhelmed with three small pieces of cheese for £9. Had we made a mistake to come here? All other dishes we had were also somewhat expensive for their size but the taste was incredible and all was forgiven. The food was also quite creative. We were for example impressed with the smoked mackerel rösti with horseradish. For our next visit we'll bring hats and warm coats.

Absolutely incredible take away sandwiches available at lunch time. The Ham with Pea croquette was especially delicious. Cherry and almond tart was superb too.

Having wanted to try this place for a while I was very excited to finally come here.First and foremost the staff were awesome, we were guided through the incredible wine menu, full of so many surprises and treats. It was a set menu, an absolute joy to be given plates of perfectly considered food. The mussels in white wine sauce were some of the meatiest I’ve had, the only downside was that I needed more bread for the sauce.Following on from that was the roast beef and lightly pickled girolles. The parsley butter singing on top. So much fun.It was a great eating out experience, especially if you combine the staffs knowledge of their extensive wine list.

Unfortunately can’t say much about the dine in experience as I have only ordered take away. That’s a new normal nowadays...😞Anyway still I wanted to give a feedback and hands up to these guys.Menu changing on weekly basis with a large selection. I like the innovative option and dishes they offered. You can feel they are definitely trying you to get genuine « restaurant experience » here not just making regular dish for the sake of it.So I had brawn, leek fritter, pickles & mustard (£8) genius combination, good portion. Liked it very much. Picture shows only half !And staff are very nice !Keep it up, guys ! Will definitely come back and I encourage people to do the same !

The wine bar - 40 maltby street (not the market) is one of my favourite place in the world! They cook with their heart with fresh ingredients! And the wine is exceptional! You may think it’s expensive but it’s worth every single penny! Their menu changes all the time depending the seasonal ingredients. Great vibe and friendly staff along side the tasty food and delicious wine!

My london favorit ! Simply the best! Excellent as always! The best wine bar/kitchen in London! Excellent "natural" wine selection . Outstanding on every side : The kitchen is always humbly magnifying carefully sourced seasonal ingredients to their very best, add to it the warmth and genuinely passionate service to guide you through the complex natural wine world. Perfect for the clueless to the wine experts!
