Relaxing tea with delicious pastry reading a book and watching the world go by. Owner is very accommodating. Please support these local businesses. They really deserve it.

Great place . Friendly staff. Good long hours so great to pop in after work. Excellent pastries. Sausage rolls are delicious. Tried a mocha and was very nice. Ice cream looks very fancy and tasty.

They offer a wide range of pastries, food and drinks. The service was quite slow and the store wasn't busy. The loose leaf tea I had was lovely but it took a while to get to me and I didn't receive a teaspoon for the honey which accompanied the tea.

I'd say this place is underrated - business tends to go to Gail's or the new coffee places around the corner as they are more flashy. Au Ciel has a great selection of pretty chocolates as well as the usual patisserie and coffee. I like it!

I visit many Coffee shops through the year and like most people I need my Coffee fix whilst working and this by far is the best I have been to, you will always be greeted by the friendliest staff and a welcoming smile from all and look forward to visiting soon. Thumbs up to Laura, Courtney and the Owner (never did catch her name) 5 Stars plus.Vance

Lovely little cafe. Went to Gail’s but as they do sometimes it was closed early. This turned out to be a blessing. Good coffee and decent pastry - the kind of home made feel that Gail lost years ago.I will certainly return and next time as my first choice

Very nice cafe. It has some very good pastries which can give the chain up the road a real run for its money! The staff were very helpful and friendly too.

Delicious pastries but the coffee could have been better. Lovely staff and atmosphere.

Just enjoyed a lovely quiche and salad. A very sweet cafe, very friendly staff, lovely food, and Monmouth coffee - what more could you ask for?The owner was really accommodating and also interested to hear about vegan options which was great for me. Said they could change meals as needed. Also they sell penny sweets, handmade chocolates and ice cream ☺️
