delicious tapas in a cosy and intimate space. was pleasantly surprised by the portguese wines, so different from all other european wines i’ve had - with greater subtlety and fruity summery notes. the tapas were all excellent, but my favs were probably the onglet steak and pastel de nata with cinnamon ice cream.

Nice tapas style place for a relatively light quick dinner. Because all the seating is on benches and high stools, unless it’s outdoors, it’s not a place to sit for hours. The food was good overall but the one thing that was exceptional and stood out was the beef cheeks with cauliflower puree it was absolutely delicious! The sausage croquettes and cod fritters were also very good. The octopus was ok, the dish overall was a nice combination of flavours but the octopus itself was quite dry and the sweet potato puree a bit flavourless. A nice experience overall!

The restaurant is Portuguese tapas. We had 6 plates between 2. It’s a nice atmosphere and nice setting to eat. The food was nice. We especially liked the cheese, beef cheeks and octopus.

We went to a supper club by Bar Bouro x Kricket’s.It was amazing! I loved the combination of Indian and Portuguese flavour. I guess my fusion of food with Indian spices work. From the start to finish, all the dishes were bursting with flavour that kept my taste buds interested. My favourite dish is the clam with Indian spice. It was out of this world! Each dishes were matched up with wine, which meant that we tried 5 different kinds of wine, one of which was fortified wine that came with dessert.I love open kitchen where I can see chefs cooking and serving dishes carefully. It’s mesmerising at times. It’s shame that it’s only one night, but I’ll love to try their regular menus next time.Thank you for the nice evening to the chefs, staff and my friend who invited me.

No where as good as authentic Portuguese restaurants. The price was too high, portion way too small. People please don't encourage these kind of restaurants that claim to be Portuguese but actually not! If you really want good Portuguese dish that will fill your tummy, make you happy and not rob you, please visit the smaller Portuguese restaurants, those don't claim to be high end. Small restaurants serve some of the best dishes ever! Support small authentic restaurants and stop encouraging these high end, pricey, tasteless restaurants such a Bar Douro! We ordered octopus dish and there was the world's most tiniest octopus pieces (only two very tiny pieces) cost us £14/£15 (can't exactly remember, but it was expensive). People who really love and knows Portuguese food will understand that this place is awful. Food is greasy and oily. Real good Portuguese food is not this expensive and taste way better. Portuguese people are known for their food and portion sizes. I don't know what this restaurant is trying to accomplish and how do they even get such good reviews! I am guessing all these good reviews are from people who never really tried authentic Portuguese food, because if you really had true Portuguese food, you would know that this restaurant is a scam.

Bar Douro has been on my list to try. After tasting quite a few different dishes, here are my recommendation :Grilled sardines and grilled tomatoes on sourdough -this is really good, a must have.Salt cod frittersSteak with spinach and egg yolk

Small cozy restaurant. Friendly staff and great environment. Good food and good service. I would say it is a bit over budget (£130 for 3 adults and 1 child)

Came here for my birthday with my Portuguese girlfriend.Dishes were fine, nothing particularly special for London. In fact we felt it lacked the 'Portuguese touch'.The differences start with the tiny plates, lack of staples like clams / pork, to the flavour of the food... As well the usual Portuguese hospitality is missing... It was some of the tiniest octopus i ever seen 😅The meal felt like a watered down and underwhelming Barrafina. Also, even though I specified it was my birthday, there was no special mention nor any care given... I may as well should have gone somewhere else.. Extremely average meal for London, I would have been happier at Nandos to be honest.

好吃,强烈推荐!Amazing food, drink and service! Port Tonic and Fig leaves were recommended by Edu, who is super friendly!! We also ordered sardines, steak, tart and ice cream. They are sooo delicious. Highly recommended!

I'm a fan of Portuguese food and this place meets the basic standard. The main dishes were all okay, nothing amazing but the starters were really good.If you go I'd recommend the Pataniscas and the Croquettes (I was so busy enjoying didn't even snap a picture). These two dishes were the reason I picked 4 instead of 3 stars.Prices are on the pricier side but it should be expected for Tapas. Portion wise I'd say 2 per person should be a good rule of thumb and 3 each if you're hungry.Food took a longer than expected time to arrive, otherwise no complaints.
