Service can be a bit slow but otherwise, a nice place to relax and watch live jazz which sometimes is being played in the Square.

Quick & friendly service. Food was very nice. Atmosphere is very nice for catch up or meeting.

I live nearby and have ended up here over a dozen times but this was the last time. Disgusting oily food, all the staff are moody and socially inept, they don't serve alcohol, just so you know and the level of incompetence is unparalleled. Possibly one of the worst hotels in London. Avoid at all costs.

Please don't go to this place and encourage them to keep on serving poor quality food. You across the road from Bermondsey street, there is no excuse not eat good food in this part of town

Not sure of the other reviews, but I had a great time here and wasn't expecting that from a restaurant attached to a hotel. There is an outside seating area which has a little courtyard, you can see a cinema and another bar I think. The staff were all really friendly and helpful, there was a little wait because of a mix up in the kitchen, but it was fine. The starters were pretty varied, I had a rabbit terrine, which was very tasty, followed by a rib eye steak with tarragon sauce, the chips did come out in a funnel very East London style but it all came as one so wasn't that bothered. They also take Tastecard which you need to call up, with a 50% off which is brilliant, the food was amazing so I will be going back with my friends.

A difficult place to review - in my mind, they're setting themselves up for failure with an emphasis on 1970s British cuisine (think spam, prawn cocktail). I've only tried their full English breakfast, and while it was decent, it was sorely let down with toast from a cheap loaf, and a pot of tea with one Tetley's tea bag in it. Hard to say whether that's in keeping with the 70s theme, or just cost cutting.

Last night I was on a table for 6 and we were rather dissapointed. We waited at our table for one hour and fifteen minutes before our order was taken and it took another half an hour for the starters to arrive; the service was poor and the serving staff were tattily dressed with no 'house' clothing; one of the guests ordered a medium steak and it arrived well done, but at that point sending it back would have inconvenienced the other diners. As Masterchef judge the Proprietor needs to up his game and serve the quality of dishes to the standards he expects to judge on the programme!

I have been going about once a month to Greggs Table for dinner since April 2012. The first and second time I went they gave me goats cheese deep fried balls with beetroot puree as an appetiser which was lovely. I had the lamb chops with dauphonise potatoes and cauliflower puree. The food was lovely. Next trip no appetiser but again the lamb chops etc was very nice. I have been there twice in the last 3 weeks again ordered the lamb. (I appreciate predictable but I did like them initially). The first time the food was bad but I went back on Sunday to give it another chance. The bill on Sunday came to £28.19 for which 3 lamb chops and a piece of potatoe the size of a child’s fist cost £19.50. That was all that was on the plate - oh a tiny bit of jus and 3 dead scallions. I had roasted vegetables as a side - with all the sticks from the herbs still in them. Actually it was mashed up aubergine being called roasted veg. They came in a small bowl and here is the biggest joke of the £3.28 to serve up this to me. I had to get up from the table to get the attention of the waiting staff. If I were Gregg I would spend some time in my restaurant as it is disgraceful what they serve up to customers and charge outrageously for it.

Won't comment on the mains as they really didn't appeal. Retro 70's from Gregg Wallace? Hmm, not convinced. The desserts however - make sure you've booked an early morning appointment with your dentist as you'll want to try them all.The chocolate bombe is a fun dish and the sticky toffee pudding with leave you in a syrupy sweet state of comatose bliss.

Excellent food. I´ve been here for brunch and dinner and was impressed with both. Service was good too. The only thing I wasn´t impressed with was the triple fried chips. I had high expectations but then they were just ok.
