Hing Lee Chinese Restaurant in Southwark

Enjoyed the food, since I can’t have dairy or wheat and they didn’t have any Tamari sauce I was limited in what I could order (I started eating before taking pictures). However the waitress was helpful and we found some dishes, the food was delicious. I liked that the staff were still wearing masks . Will go back again

Tucked away but great food choice, quality and value for money

Traditional Chinese restaurant. Staff were very attentive, crispy duck was great. Usual huge range of dishes, set menus offer some savings.

I don’t think I will be going back here. I ordered a chicken dish and some vegetable buns. I was shocked when I got it at how small the portions are for the price. And I did not think the food tasted very good. I will try other options for a quick dinner takeaway next time

Most dishes taste the same, prices are okay according to central London, hospitality is good. In the end, the flavour pulled them down.

Having just moved into the area, i have found a brilliant barbers, a wide range stocked corner shop and being a big fan of Chinese food i was delighted to find this restaurant almost on my doorstep. It is quite simply fantastic - the food is great, the staff very nice & polite and it has excellent hygiene. Would recommend very highly to visitors who maybe walking the Shad Thames/River area.

Went for an evening meal after a long day walking in London. This was convenient as close to our hotel and I am pleased to report we weren't disappointed. We were seated promptly at a table and were immediately asked if we would like a drink. The server was very attentive as it wasn't the busiest evening. The menu itself is very extensive, with set meals as well as a la carte. We opted for a la carte. Our starters were Wonton soup(9/10), Prawns on toast(9/10), salt & pepper squid(10/10) and salt & pepper ribs(9/10). Starters were very tasty. and good portions. After this our mains arrived, 1 portion of egg fried rice(one is enough for two people), squid in black bean sauce(10/10), Chicken curry(10/10) the chicken was very tender and the sauce was delicious. Also had a portion of noodles with tiger prawns(09/10). All in all a very good meal and this restaurant is a little gem. Definitely be back.

Incredible Chinese and absolutely lovely owners. Couldn't recommend this restaurant highly enough. I'm sorry my phone doesn't do these food snaps justice. Please go to this restaurant and thank me later. There's a reason it's been open for 26 years.

The staff was very friendly. The food tasted delicious. And the atmosphere was quiet and relaxing. Would go here again
