Great tapas place hidden in aise Street. Everything we had was absolutely delicious. The marinated olives we started with were just so good I could have eaten bowels full. Also standout were the chickpeas with cumin. Again never had anything similar. Just delicious! Ad was everything else right down to the torta Santiago. This is a small family run restaurant with super friendly staff and owner, cheaper than the "famous tapas" places in London bridge but I would bet just as good. 100% recommend

Superb restaurant. Fantastic tapas ranging from the classics, through classics with a twist, to ones you don't find often. Staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, and the environment is just what you'd hope to find in a sidreria on a Spanish side street. Was only visiting the city briefly but if I'm back I'll be back at Mar I Terra.

Very impressed with Mar y Terra this evening. My sons ate the surf and turf and found it delicious, plentiful and excellent value for money @ £21.95. My own grilled cod loin also exceeded expectations as well as my appetite. All the fish was fresh, perfectly cooked and enhanced by roasted potatoes and vegetables al dente. A really pleasant surprise and the service was personal, friendly and helpful. Bravo

The food here is delicious but don't believe the waiter when he says you've ordered too many dishes as there's not much on a plate. The flavours are out of this world but the portions are miniscule - if you are a Guinea pig you might think there is enough in offer. Don't get the rabbit as it's tiny (despite the fact that it is tasty). I would go back but I would order more or go for a kebab somewhere.

Sadly I can only give this place 5 stars where 10 should be more like it!!!!As an avid lover of Spanish cuisine and culture the wife took me here as a birthday gift.Absolutely amazing and a good menu selection, everything cooked to perfection and the staff were amazing too.Fantastic wine and drinks selection available and great prices too. Will definitely return and thank you for my experience

Had been meaning to go here for a while but had been fully booked the times I had tried.Got an early booking this day and popped down on my own. Friendly greeting and was given a choice of two tables but there was also outside seating available. Decor and ambience was good.Wine was of high quality and I noticed one person come in to sit at the bar for a wine only which is a positive sign.Ordered three tapas and was about to order a fourth when the chef stepped in and suggested going with three first and seeing how I got on. It turned out to be enough and I was grateful for the input. All the dishes were great and I will be going back.

I've been visiting the "real" Spain since 2004. I have also been around the country visiting tapas bars as Spanish food is a favourite. In short I think mar I terra is the best tapas bar in the uk and their tortilla is the best I have EVER tasted.100% would recommend. Fabulous food. Great service.

Food Quality ⭑ ⭑ ⭑ ⭑Service ⭑ ⭑ ⭑ ⭑Ambience ⭑ ⭑Price ⭑ ⭑Wanted to have some tapas on a double date with friends. The food was actually pretty good and has that homemade taste to it. Best dishes were the croquetas de jamon, the rabbit and the beef. We also tried sone seafood but it wasn’t as good as the meats. Wine was pretty good too but nothing out of the ordinary. Service was mostly in Spanish which could be a good or a bad thing. Attentive and quick. The restaurant itself is pretty plain. No character. Just an old pub repainted and with very bright lights on. It didn’t express any atmosphere at all. Second bad point was the pretty high prices considering what the overall experience was. We had around 7-8 tapas, 2 bottles of wine and 2 desserts and it got easily to around 45£ per head. Not sure it was really worth it..
