Mogul in Southwark

Always a great meal at Mogul (& BYOB)! Friendly employees and attentive service. Tonight we had butter masala and chicken shaslick bhuna as recommended and didn’t disappoint! Will definitely be back soon!

At best I would say very tasteless, and very rude staff. Had the cheek to charge me for tap water.

Small and compact but the food was cooked fresh to order and the staff were on hand to help enjoy our visit. No alcohol for sale but management were happy for us to bring in our own.

Very nice, local place. We got paneer, two curries, rice, and a cheese naan - everything was delicious. The staff / service was also very good. Although they don’t serve alcohol, you can BYOB.

We have been using this neighbourhood restaurant fir years. The first thing our friends and family from abroad want is an outing to the Mogul for a great curry. The food is superb, the portions are generous and the price is great. No alcohol licence currently but they give you glasses for any booze you bring with you. Friendly and good service. Excellent chicken tikka dansak yesterday. I recommend this restaurant very highly.

Food had good taste although the lamb and chicken texture didn’t taste very good quality. Madras was spicy which I like as it can sometimes taste a bit bland. Service was fine although we were the only people in the restaurant at 8pm on a Friday night so I felt like I was being watched a lot but overall the waiters were fine and service was quick. More people arrived after a while. The eat-in menu was pricier than the takeaway menu and I felt the portions were smaller than what you would get if you ordered a takeaway. I like that fact that it’s BYOB however, I would probably order in next time rather than eat there as it would be better value.

Mogul Indian Cuisine is fantastic. My family of 11 was in town staying near by so we got a reservation at Mogul. We were graciously greeted and patiently attended to while we were looking though the menu and placing our orders.The food presentation was unexpected and extremely impressive with every detail tended too. From the warm plates served time us individually to the hot bowls of food places in a warming tray to keep warm while we ate. Finally presented with hot towels to wash our hands with.It was refreshing to dine at an establishment where you did not feel like you were being rushed, but rather there to enjoy the extremely good food, the presentation and the company that you were with.Thank you for a memorable experience.Cheers.
